  1. you do realize your posting responses to someone who hasnt been on the board in two months... thread ressurections are confusing I guess.
  2. check out http://www.itkillsrust.com then, once you are convinced that it is worth the money (i think you will be) (you dont need much) maybe some herculiner would make a nice covering to prevent premature rock chipping and things of the sort. i used it in this combo and wow, it is good if you ask me.
  3. http://home.comcast.net/~petersontroylynda/wsb/html/view.cgi-photo.html--SiteID-1279235.html That site has all sorts of nifty pictures of his installation and rollcage buildup.
  4. They are on ebay all the time, thats where I got all my sets from. They are well worth it, for all 6 sections I have paid anywhere from $20 to $75 for a set.
  5. I'll bet on disc brakes, after I did a rear disc conversion on one of my cars, the rusty discs never did clear up until after I had them turned. Like you said a soft scraping noise when slowly coming to a stop, check the discs in the front, and in the rear if you did the conversion. Did the vehicle set for a few months? If it did, this is a definite possibility.
  6. http://www.ihi-turbo.com/turbo_RHE-RHF.htm Above page is very crude maps and turbo data, the B series has been replaced by the F series turbos. This will give you a general idea of application. http://www.dune-buggy.com/turbo/turbo.htm This page has some sourcing data from junk yards, along with some HP estimates for the diferent series of turbos. IHI data is hard to come by, and not very detailed from what I have found.
