  1. thanks that was exactly what i was lookin for
  2. Ok, my wonderful military career has places me in texas right near a couple junkyards, one of which contains a xt6 in decent condition. I remeber from a while back wehn i bought my rx i pulled off the parts list for the 5lug conv. im just curious who posted it (was before the changes in the site) i have a few questions i would like to ask to clarify some things
  3. well its been a long time since i was on last but i will say after seeing that i no longer want to buy a crate ea82t (which runs approx $1700) and find myself a ej to throw in my rx
  4. a professional is going to be doing it cause the shop its at right now doesnt have a borer i just need something a little bit cheaper than the above mentioned .020 pistions
  5. ive been looking for an engine for my rx for some time now and the only problem i come up with is $CASH$ which i dont have much of. my dad subaru certified and master tech with 23 years tech under his belt now says it would be fine to get heads bored and put bigger pistons and it would run fine. anyone have a website or atleast a lead to a website that has pistons that are .030 over for a ea82t out of a '89 rx??
  6. looked for a website couldnt find it do you have it?
  7. anyone know where to get 0.030 pistons for a '89 rx 1.8 turbo
  8. this is crazy i think. drove my soob 89 rx on cylinders 2 and 4 for 10 miles. turbo didnt really help too much lol
  9. if you do a rebuild good luck with finding new parts cause im really having a had time finding em
  10. i did a head gasket on the same head it is a pita but with a jack and some man power i did manage to get it out and in with minimal pain took me a whole as i did take quite a few breaks. i unbolted turbo intake crossover pipe lines and that little bracket last i unbolted it off the head which was a bit difficult due to space but after i did that i just bent it out of the way and lifted the head out. bent it back into place when putting everything together gl hope this helps
  11. Ok so after a week of working got the engine out and resealed and back in resealed intake and put on alt and power steering. Start the plumbing and end up with a turbo solenoid tube (overboost switch?) with an insert end and cant remeber where it goes all i know is it goes into something but what i dont know. its a 1989 rx 1.8turbo.
  12. Yea this is true. Dang napa they order them from factory now and takes like week and half would suggest carquest advanced or a&a
  13. This isnt my vid but upon poking around on youtube i found this. A soob wagon lifted pulling a toyota that got stuck.
