  1. ok so haynes says cvs and wheel bearings can only be done by a shop, i don't buy that for a second. i saw the wheel bearing photo essay and it doesn't look all that bad. so if im correct in my assumptions i will need: 4 wheel bearings 6207 part # and 2 new cv's. (found them on ebay for like 60 somthing shipped. is there anything else i'll need? how long should this take (2 guys avg amount of tools, garage 20-30 deg outside no heat in the garage) special tools and any tips would be apperciated.
  2. that would be awesome, sucks were all so spread out though, sno rallying is fun
  3. saw a sweet loyale at the gas station the other night, my monstrosity parked next to it made me shudder. just made me wonder how many of us there are up here in the pinky part of michigan there are. Traverse city area for me.
  4. sweet thank you, one problem down one to go, ill be posting pic of my suby tommorow hopefully with a work remote start *crosses fingers**
  5. i have a remote start thats collecting dust, on the website the wiring charts don't include a loyale, they do have 88-91 xt ones, is it the same, and also umm **ahem** my neutral safety switch has been acting up and not letting me start my car any way to disable it easily?? and yes its a 5 spd
  6. thank you, if i end up getting this whole car i don't think ill need the y pipe. but if they wont ill need that within the next two weeks, police cars seem to like my street lately
  7. theres an 89 push button 4wd, auto loyale in a junkyard, my cv is shot and according to haynes a shop has to put the knuckle and axle together. would this work on a 92 push button 5 spd? if it would i would rather just get those than deal with a shop plus i can get a great deal on the whole car so it would be about the same cost as new axles, wheel bearings and labor.
  8. i replaced the alternator on my loyale, for some reason the new one isn't really putting out much of a charge maybe 13 is this normal??
  9. first day i bought my 92 loyale, drove it home 300 miles, next day my girl drove it to work, hit a nice big 2004 silverado, axed my AC (who cares) radiator, hood, bumper fender headlight etc. got it pulled 85% of original, hood now held on with a guitar hero strap then the bypass hose to the heater went 3 days back on the road, fixed it, forgot to put rear bolt back on ac compressor. two more weeks alt goes. when i put the new belts on i tightend them up and PS and ac pulleys rub ^^ due to my previous idiocy. now i have a mystery drain thats smoking my charge after 2-3 hours of sitting (weird click coming from auto seat belts) then today im 90% i smoked an axle will know for sure tommorow ---- I Will NOT give up on this car!!!
