  1. well all it needed was a good pat on the back and a burping all good, for now. now the fans dont turn on! WTF!!!
  2. the leaking hose was just the other night, well, yea I have not burped the radiator yet. I guess I will do that. and see what happens
  3. It is the upper radiator hose that was causeing the coolent leak, replaced the hose. started it let it set for 15 min till the car warmed up and reached the normal temp. And now the car still over heats. it reaches near the red mark on the temp gauge but once I accerate the temp goes down to normal. Got the Timing belt, waterpump and gasket, tenisors, pullers replaced 2 days ago. Now what?
  4. :banana:Well I dont really know what is leaking cause it is dark, but from what I could see is that it is leaking from the behind the timing cover, under the crankshaft, guessing the water pump, or the water pump gasket dunno yet. have to wait till tomarrow. Barely maid it home, saw white smoke coming out of the exaust. so guessing the HG blew. no coolent in the radiator. making nice bubbly sound like a bong So which you guys think is better replace the motor or fix whats wrong with the motor. I was thinking of putting in the turbo EJ22 Motor. if it came to it. I know I need the wiring harness ETC:banana: If possible putting the WRX motor:grin: 260,128 miles on the motor 1990 Legacy wagon LS 5 speed
  5. the sound occurs during accleration, the sound and vibs happens every once inawhle, but only one acceleration is when it happens. the over all driving of the car has not changed.
  6. :confused:so I am getting this mysteries thumping sound from my front driver side corner, I look under neath the car and dont see anything wrong, I got new tires and had them balanced on the inside. replaced the CV joints and ball joint got an aliment. nothing loose or damaged. the CV boots are not torn. I can hear and feel the thumping sound from the driver side front corner... could a unbalanced wheel cause the thumping? Help:confused:
  7. OK, well I just saw the motor and the headers the headers stopped before the up pipe, so I was guessing all the new gen subs are like that. well any way thanks for the info.
  8. :-\so I have an 1990 Legacy wagon LS and I am going to replace the exaust headers cause the are cracking and getting tired of fixing them, so I was down at the Subaru parts store getting new valve gaskets set got bored waiting in line started looking at the newer Gen subs engine on display and noticed the hearders go to the front around the side then back, looking like a J instead of the Y shape that I have on my wagon. so.... I was wondering of I could fit the newer Gen Headers on my 1990 Wagon? If could what year and model am I looking at to pull it off from? WOuld it make a differnce in any way? Like performance, sound? anything?
  9. Garbage not worth the time nor money.
  10. so I read that you can do a EJ25 phase 1 motor using EJ22 heads. Hybrid from Subafreak. Now I wonder if it will work the other way a EJ22 with EJ25 DOHC cams? is it possiable?:-\
  11. :banana:so I posted the 04+ WRX springs on my 90 Legacy wagon anything else that will work? maybe STI springs? Found some WRX and STI Springs for sale on Craigslist for $40
  12. well a friend told me that the 04 and up WRX Wagons springs will work with my wagon I have a 1990 Legacy LS Wagon True? And will the WRX springs lower or at least stiffin the ride?
  13. ok, so I replaced the Radiator with a brand new one, metal w/ plastic side tanks from autozone(only place that had it stock) other wise I would of gotten it from performance radiator heard that theirs is all metal. wonder if it is true? so the water temp gauge goes UP for 10 min then back to normal temp, not the Tstat sorry about that. did that 2 times so far. I am not blowing white smoke out. (so it is an internal leak, very slow) replaced the heater core hoses and upper, lower radiator hoses. was gonna change the Tstat but didnt cause a prob. the over heating was cause the radiator cracked first time. Second time was cause the upper radiator hosed cracked. Overheated 6 months ago. replaced radiator, heater core hoses, upper and lower radiator hoses. BUT NOT TSAT. live in apt so cant really take the tsat out and put in hot water.
