  1. I guess my question is...if the car checks out and it is up to your standards - and belonged to you - what value would you place on it? I could have sold it for $2K six months ago...I wouldn't have slept well because my chances of replacing it someday are slim to nil. Not sure how you estimate value but I'd be interested in hearing from you about the cars reasonable value. All that aside...I have an 8 year old, own an outfitting business that includes sales of canoes and kayaks, bait and tackle shop, cafe and art gallery, and I'm on three boards including the school board. So I appreciate any time you have. Thanks again, Bill

  2. I'll assume this is reaching you. Thanks for getting back...computer nose-dived with a virus and just got it back. I was hoping to get a little feedback from you about selling my '79 wagon. I have had 12 Subarus, including a '78 and '79 back in the late 80's when they were common around here. I always paid a fair price (often well below book) and was able to sell them, when the time came, for what I was asking. The 79 wagon is one of the best running and nicest looking 15-plus-year-old cars I have owned. I'll continue...

  3. Hey Paul - testing 3-10-10

  4. Testing...Hey - I'm the guy with the mint-chocolate '79 wagon on the classifieds. Hoping to talk with you about it. Thanks, Bill Kinjorski 62canoe

  5. I am considering parting with my '79 Wagon. I'm new to this message board & would like to post the vehicle for sale in the correct format/location. Can anyone advise? FYI: Car is a 4WD, rust-free, daily-driver. Can send pics on request. Thank you, Bill in Big Bay, MI

  6. Hey - New here on the wish list and I'm not in need of much. I have a '79 4XWagon in very good shape, sans the front seat (the only one that matters...right-side). The frame is broken and I have to prop it up by folding down/up the back seat. Color is not an issue - original is brown plaid. A little odd - the mileage is low (135k) but the person who drove it for 25+ years went 250+ pounds. The Japanese designed seat met it's match. Aside - I had '78 and '79 wagons in the late '80s and they both got 30 plus miles per gal. My current wagon gets around 23. I'm looking into leaning-up the carburetor and replacing the front brakes (including adjusting the e-brake). Any leads or help out there would be appreciated. FYI - spent part of the balmy 60 degree day watching the 20 inches of recent snow melt. Tomorrows forecast...80. Life in the UP. Thanks, Bill
  7. Hey - I'm just gettin my feet wet on this forum and looking for some guidance or advice. Have had many Subarus and am currently driving a '79 DL wagon and a '93 Loyale 4wd. Need some obscure parts for each and was hoping this forum could help me find them. I'm in the Upper Peninsula of MICH. Would appreciate any help. Tanks, Bill Big Bay
