So I have a '79 Brat and its pretty solid, except the engine. I need to replace all the gaskets and possibly the carburetor. If you have any sources on where to get this stuff or have any laying around that would be awesome. Thanks for reading

I'm trying to redo my situation now, does any one know where I can get an EA-71 engine rebuild kit?? Do they exist??

Ya my only problem has been trying to find the engine all together, the one I have is having way too many problems and would most likely be cheaper to just swap it if you guys hear of any in the Sacramento area let me know, I also have an EA81 from an '84 GL but I don't know if that will bolt up or not

My only problem is finding an ea71 is there any other engine that is a little more powerful

Im not really looking to lift it or anything, but I was wondering if anyone has an exhaust manifold for sale or know where I can get one, I've done some searching on some websites but cant find anything

seeing as that will probably be to much work for someone with my knowledge, I was wondering if anyone just had a '79 brat exhaust manifold?

How would I check that?? (sorry like I said I'm not very mechanically inclined....yet)

I will post pics soon of what is wrong and what I need, but I was wondering if I could swap my EA71 for an EA81 but keep the original transmission or would I have to take the EA81 transmission as well??

Hello everyone I was wondering if there is anyplace/anyone who could help me find parts for my '79 Brat, mostly simple things, mainly cv boots/joints, and an exhaust system from the headers back. I'm no technician but I believe that is what I need. Please get back to me as soon as possible I need to get this car running. Thank You, Shane

Would the bolts to the manifold be the same size??

Hey guys another problem haha, I was wondering if I could take the exhaust manifold from the GL and use it for the Brat, with or without modifications?? Or is it just another no
