  1. Hey, I am back, and with a new problem with the legacy...(btw-it's a 92 non-turbo)... Around 50mph the car shudders really bad going into overdrive, and you have to let out of the throttle a couple times for it to go away. It is an intermittent problem an isn't always there.. Does the legacy have an overdrive solenoid inside the trans that is known to go bad?
  2. I am in no way trying to spam this site, so I hope this doesn't get taken that way... Just wondering if anybody is in the midwest area, please feel free to check out http://www.midwesthorsepower.net All makes and models are welcome and it's a really cool site to visit. I first posted on this site about a week ago concerning a bad ECT sensor on our 92 Legacy, and from all the feedback I have to once again thank everybody over here for all the great help! Thanks again, Shawn
  3. YEP! The Coolant temp sensor was definately bad....Car fired right up after replacing it... I tested the old one for ohm's and got nothing, tested the new one and the ohm's would lower the hotter it got THANKS EVERYBODY FOR ALL YOUR AWESOME INPUT!!!
  4. Now that is some detailed info! My hat is off to you for sure Thanks, Shawn
  5. I didn't put the fluke meter to it yet, but I unplugged the sensor with the car running and it had no effect whatsoever. Something tells me that if the sensor was any good, it would make the car run differently if unplugged ? Shawn
  6. Another quick thing....The cooling fans come on immediately when the key is turned to the on position. Is this a good sign of the ECT sensor or is it the ECU going into a failure mode? Thanks in advance, Shawn
  7. I can unhook the battery overnight to reset the ECU right? Thanks, Shawn
  8. What does it take to get to the outside driver cv boot to replace it with a one piece?(removal process) Thanks in advance, Shawn
  9. Yes, the codes it spits out are: -11-Crank Angle sensor or circuit -12-Starter switch or circuit -13-Cam Position sensor or circuit -21-Coolant Temperature sensor or circuit -42-Idle swich or circuit
  10. Anybody know what kind of behavior a 90-94 Legacy will exhibit if it has a bad Coolant Temp Sensor?
  11. Would the car run immediately better after replacement or does the ECM need resetting? Thanks in advance, Shawn
