  1. The first thing you should do is jack it up so both front wheels come off the ground. If one of them comes off the ground first, either the left or the right...the car is never going to be right again OR Florida is sinking faster than anyone thought and you should be looking at making the car into a submarine.
  2. I have no idea what it has in it for axles...I'm thinking one is aftermarket junk for sure and that would be the left one ...lol How do I tell a real subie axle from aftermarket?
  3. Hi all Going to be doing the front struts and thought it would be a good time to change out the clicking front axle while I had it apart. So now for the question... It's clicking on left turns...so is it going to be the right axle? or is it the left one? The car: 2006 outback H6 Any help would be much appreciated
  4. I'll toss in my 2 cents...well about 87 cents these days 1) Is someone sitting in the drivers side when you jack it up? if yes, theres your prob. if no see 2 2) Does it lean to the east or the west or north or south? if it leans to the west it could have something to do with how fast the earth is spinning or the magnetic pull of the north or south poles. 3) Have you checked to see if the ground is level? Get level and check ground (remember the earth is round, so it may not be perfect) 4) Have you looked at the jack? Looks ok? Best to take it in and have it recalibrated anyway and have them put on new casters while they are at it, they could be wore out on one side. 5) Have you had new tires put on? yes? no? Best to check them anyway and make sure they are a matched set...don't want torque bind. 6) Did you buy the car used? Maybe someone put the wrong springs or struts on it at some point...better check them all and make sure they are the right ones. 7) Have a hoist installed and lift the whole car up at the same time to see if any wheel stays on the ground longer then the other. (4 friends will help with this) Or it could be like every car I've owned as far as I can remember where one side came up before the other. Good luck and let us know what you find out.
  5. Yes there was a kow involved...a MADKOW...lol anyway, I was there when they came off the forester and went on the legacy and then came off the legacy and thats what they looked like when they came off the legacy. We both thought sh*t, would you look at that. It was much warmer when they came off the forester and we saw the one was leaking some, but this was just for temp till we could get new ones for it. By the time we the tranny issues worked out and got them on the legacy it had turned cold and needless to say, it's still cold...high of 0F coming up here in a couple days. What was I talking about? Oh ya struts...the part #'s on the ones that came off the forester and went on the leg and then came off the leg are 71410 and 71411. If anyone wants to look up what they are suppose to go on...go for it...who knows...maybe they came off a 360 and got put on the forester...lol She just took pics of them because she thought others would like to see them. If you look at the springs, the one thats leaking, the top part of the spring is wore down from where the the metal had been rubbing against it's self making it much flatter, so who knows how long the forester was driven this way. The forester never ran while we had it, so we have know idea how it rode. Suby on people
  6. I can bring the rear diff along, so that would take care of the final drive ratio. so it come down to wiring...as it so often does OK... how about this? I've got a auto tranny with no reverse....any ideas? I am willing to take it apart if need be
  7. Hi all Can anyone tell me if a tranny from a 1990 Legacy LS wagon will fit in a 1995 Legacy wagon? The 95 should still be the 2.2 right? I'm hoping it's plug and play...lol
  8. Hello out there I've been looking for a thread on installing a clutch, but can't seem to find any info. can anyone point me to a thread that hopefully has a few pics or at least tells a person where to start? from what I've found...every one says it's easy but thats about all the info I can find. Thanks for any help you can give me. MOOO
  9. Sounds good...I can do the whole fuel rail. Now to see if one of these has a good axle. Thanks for the replys.
  10. When I replaced the ones in an auto tranny a while back...the auto parts place listed ones for auto tranny and diff ones for 5 speed and the pics looked differant, thought maybe the computer may have something to do with it.
  11. Will the fuel injectors from a 90 leg EJ22 5 speed work in a 90 leg EJ22 auto? 2nd Q Will the front axles from a 90 leg 5 speed awd work on a 90 leg auto 2wd? Thanks for any help
  12. Does it say some wear in the owners manual not to go over 35mph and drive it as short a dis as needed? Think I read it's not a good thing to drive it like that. then again...I don't have a 95 owners man handy.
