  1. well thats a australian car so there never was jump seats in the back
  2. ok so the ej22 in my vortex was on the way out so i put the ej25 dohc engine back in. but now it has spark, noid lights are showing the injectors should be firing. but nothing? would the ej22 crank gear be differant or the positions on the cam gear (for the cam angle) be differant to the ej22? could i just switch the one cam and crank gear over for ej22 items to trick it? i have complete ej22 wiring on engine and main loom, idle air control and all other sensors are ej22. or could i re'pin the exsiting loom (ej22) to suit this ej25 ecu? and if someone can point me to a pin out for the above ecu that would be great!
  3. well heres some little pics, its only the rear mount that is a little differant
  4. well it does fit, but i just swapped complete hub/control arm/drive shaft from the 98 outback in to my 90 liberty (legecy)
  5. will drive shafts from a 90's NA ej22 liberty (legecy) fit in a 98 2nd gen OUTBACK? im only interested in fronts
  6. over 100 views and no thoughts ideas? heres a video of it doeing what it does vvvv
  7. ok well i have converted a vortex (xt6's smaller brother) from fwd ea82 to ej22 awd and all was well for a while. now she starts and idles nicely, but hold the revs around 2000 or higher and it starts missing/studdering until the throttle is released, then it idles fine again. while this is going on (thanks to b10 scan tool) the idle air control valve throws a active fault, once the pedal is released and the idle returns to normal the code clears (well stays in the stored codes). i have new leads/plugs, have changed coil pack and maf today i have tryed; 2 tps-same result with both 2 iacv electric tops (base is free moving)-no luck 2 o2 sensors- my spare wasnt giving a reading but the result didnt differ the only thing that gave some change was actually unpluging the tps, i could then hold the revs at any rpm. so what could throw the iacv code? other then the iacv? i really want this as a daily, it seems to have come on over time. not straight away. here are some pictarsssss and my little vid (yes i know i have stuffed up my words *gauge instead of sensor/cant say diagnostic*) enjoy, and any help is invited. ^^^^last ones a video
  8. have a flick through this thread of mine, it should answer most of your questions http://www.ausubaru.com/forum/showthread.php?t=18986&page=3
  9. fixed here are some pics now that the guts has been stripped  all that still needs doing -lighten the front more within engine bay (if i can) -make struts/control arms/radius rods stronger -bigger (maybe 6 stud) wheels then it will be ready for some jumps but im going to fix the motor abit..... its drinking some water.
  10. you could have just looked at were he's from "australia" yes every thing over here for the L series is different, i havent insured one but i pressume its like going to a parts store an seeing there listings. (1800/leone/dl/gl) the guys in part stores would scratch there head all the time when i had my rx. use which ever of the two you want dl or gl, or find which options you have and make a good guess.
  11. ok short story im setting up a 83 MY touring wagon for some offroad racing kind of like phiz, i've started with the easy stuff first of stripping the interior and all is well untill to night.... i removed the last part being the dash and now she doesnt go im sure it must be a relay or something that needs to be mounted in such a way to be grounded (which would have been befor dash was pulled out ). can someone point me in a direction to look? i can here a relay click when i turn the key, its just as if there isn't power going to the starter (its not doing anything, yes it is a recon starter that was working yesterday) its a 3at if this helps whith anything.... oh and shes got a digi dash that works! once she's gutted and running again ill post up some pics
  12. so your brat, has the whole rear under side of a liberty (ej). nothing cut/re-joined? how is it bolted to the body (maybe some pic's)? sorry for the questions i just cant wrap my head around it... could this (with other slight mods) be adapted to work on L's?
  13. what intake is used in that second pic?
  14. just thought i'd show you my method of intercooling my rx its a s5 rx7 top mount heavily modded and spun 90deg from the way it sits above the rotary engine. i still need to remove the bracket off the now "front" of the intercooler, but not bad for only $50 (aus $$$) now to cut the bonnet:lol:
  15. touring wagon- CHECK rx- CHECK unless your talking 2 door rx, either way im happy every morning when i open my front door. maybe touring wagons are more common here
