  1. Dale, what kind of gearbox are you going to couple the ea-82 with. Are you going prop or jet? Just very courious, because my dad was thinking of re-powering his inboard boat with a sube motor. Aaron
  2. No, I don't own a samuri, I've got a drab olive, 85 gl wagon. I saw you by the Kitterage intersection on yeon. I just picked up a set of 14" pug steels this weekend, and put a set of 26" wildcats under it. No lift yet, but soon to come. Shoot me an email, aarono@shavertransportation.com I'd really like to get a close look at you're lift. Makes that hatch look tough. I need to get out the sawzall and do a little trimming before I go wheeling though. BTW, looks like you're running up by gunners lakes? Lots of good trails there. There's alot of good ones about 2 miles before you turn up to gunners on the right hand side of the road. We call that tunnel mainline, There are some spots that would eat a sube alive up there. Aaron
  3. Who's blue hatch is that? I saw him last week on Hwy 30 and gave him the big thumbs up, didn't relize he was on the board though. I live out in St. Helens, lots of good red clay to play in here. Looks like fun was had. Aaron
  4. I was looking to see if the rear suspension could be adjusted on my 85' gl wagon, and couldn't see where I'd do it. Anyone know where the adjustment is? I figured out the front end, but the back has got me stumped. It's probably obvious, but It's probably been caked over with mud under the fenderwells. Thanks, Aaron
  5. Mine was doing that. I would get white smoke coming out from under the hood. When I pulled the head, it was cracked. The head gasket was blown, and my exhaust downpipe was cracked. Check the exhaust, that was what was causing the white smoke from under the hood. Any way you look at it, white smoke is not good. Aaron
  6. Well, I managed to get the head off the subaru (ea82 carb). It is cracked beyond re-use. Who has the best rebuilt heads for this engine? I called aluminum head rebuilders, here in portland, and they have no cores, or built heads for this engine. Does anyone else sell a decent rebuilt head? Thanks, Aaron
  7. Well, I've got some major amount of coolant coming out of my passenger side exhaust. I suspect a cracked head. (85 GL wagon, carbed, ea82) I started by pulling the timing covers and timing belts, intake, and got the cam covers off. It looks like I can get the head off, if I jack the engine up a bit. Can it be done? or am I just going to run into a huge wall here. I don't have a picker or a rafter or tree, just nothing to pull the engine up with. I do have a floor jack, and figured I could at least get the engine up enough to do it..... Any tips or pointers would be great, Thanks. Aaron
