  1. do you have a high performance clutch that is a direct fit for a 4wd xt6 with 2.7L engine?
  2. that's what I heard too.... and it makes sense if I think about the snow tires I have on my xt6... it's like they ARE super swampers or mud tires of some type.. except the thick lugs are slit into a bunch of "flaps" hanging off the tire... hard to describe, but it seems like it would be hard to beat traction wise (I wouldn't go nearly as deep with the slits in the lugs as my snow tires though, as that would probably INCREASE wear on pavement)
  3. rear diff and new axles I hear you on... you should be able to find a way to keep the joystick shift handle though
  4. I'd use an EJ transmission... since the EA trannies seem to die with lotsa power (or a tcase)
  5. this is the first time I've had time/a chance to get good pics
  6. that's pretty nice!!! where are you in new york?
  7. yeah, I think roundeye's rig is one of the better looking lifted wagons on the site
  8. amen. all my stuff is 5lug but I feel for you 4lug guys with all the pugs I see in the yards (none)
  9. the damn was because nobody has even made a peep in this thread?? the jeep is not mine, it's my brother's, and it's an 88 with an AMC 258 6cyl and he has the studded snow tires on right now since his mud tires suck on ice
  10. so you guys wanna get together sometime?
  11. why'd you put the stock seats back in? the 'pimp' seats are so much nicer!!
  12. I had the EXACT same problem with my legacy... master cylinder and new rubber lines cured it... unfortunately I didn't do them one at a time to see which actually fixed it, but if your rubber lines are checked, cracked, missing an outer layer, here is why I would suggest replacing those first: those rubber lines are multi-layered, and if the outer layers flake off or whatever, when you step on the brake pedal it can cause the rubber to "balloon" out in the line, and be just like there is more volume in the braking system, causing your pedal to have that mushy feeling.... personally I replaced the rubber lines because they were old, and the master cylinder because I felt that's what the problem was, after bleeding my brakes several times like you did
  13. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6133912955628716829 one of those!@!!!!!! not total sleeper because it's hopped up soundin' and has decent rims, but MAN imagine the look on the face of the guy that lost?!

    Brakes?

    5lug swap on the 88????

    Brakes?

my legacy with stock brakes would do this before I replaced the master cylinder (pedal did nothing until the last 1/2" then would lock them up if you hit it too hard) after replacing leaky master cylinder they will still lock up on dry pavement no problemo... and they work a lot better now too
  16. right. check out xt6.net there is TONS of info on the cybrid stuff
