  1. I was able to get the alarm dash lamp to stop flashing by holding the under dash reset button down for a while. Now if I can find my clicker......
  2. As usual, after buying a used 98 Legacy Outback and repairing head gaskets, I thought it would be nice to have the keyless entry working. I bought an ebay keyless clicker, then noticed the fuses had been pulled from the KE harness. Also the anti theft Ignition 2 pin plug was disconnected and bridged. The 4 pin plug next to it was also disconnected. Put fuses in KE harness which made the tiny dealer installed dash lamp flash and click an under radio area relay. Under dash reset button did nothing. Check Engine light is now FLASHING and rad. fan is cycling with clicking of many relays under hood and under radio. Cleared codes ; P0500, P1120, P1121, P1130, P1131, (don't know what these are) and both O2 Sensor Codes Nuts.... I'm probably lucky that it's still running.
  3. Left front wheel speed sensor shows continuity. Front wheels pulling all & chirping was the first indicator we had to the problem. Please, what would wet grass tell me?
  4. Never lit the CEL No code for transmission Turned both back wheels at once - drive shaft did turn Turned left and right independently with other wheel stopped - drive shaft did turn
  5. I'll check the back wheels turning. Every AWD clutch pack I've ever seen had grooves cut into it. I thought since it worked the day before that pressure and vibration pushed them over anyway. When I had the tail cone off I didn't see any chamber that would hold air.
  6. No, I checked the main fuse under dash. Axles will pop out? Let me see. Where exactly is the "front speed sensor"? By "busted rear axle" did you mean the main carrier or an axle shaft?
  7. '95 Subaru Legacy Doing this myself.....Need Help Good fuse Click test (good?) duty C solenoid Passable AWD clutch pack installed (Pick a Part) Had "KG" Marked TCU Tried 1996 "PC" TCU.....still no RWD Any suggestions?
  8. I have 1995 Legacy L wagon 175,000 miles. Always loaded, it's driven very hard and treated rough. Never had struts replaced. Tires on orig. steel wheels & tires are 185 70 X 14. The alloy wheels to go on are 15in. diameter 6in. wide. Interchange book says they will fit the car. What is the largest tire that I can purchase without rubbing? Thanks in Advance!
  9. I have used the Honda type Synthetic trans Fluid for the last 70K in my '95 Legacy Transmission . This year I lost my rear wheel drive. Saturday at 60mph on the interstate, "D" gear selection became neutral for 30 min. and then returned. "3" gear got me home. Been OK since. Futures?
  10. Realize, this is Jersey. I'd be suprised to hear "I don't know" from any sales person. There is a 1 year part & labor guarantee. I wonder why they want to sell me a '95 when so many other years will interchange? (mine is a '95)
  11. I have almost bought a Legacy Transmission from New Jersey Junkyard that was said to be only 45K miles. It's too good to believe. Can anyone tell me how to check this mileage without buying a carfax report? Junk Trans from; VIN: 4S3BD6556S7232732 Year/Make/Model: 1995 SUBARU LEGACY LS/LSI AWD
