  1. I have an 88 Gl-10 Turbo with a stock 2004 Wrx downpipe on it. Wondering if the stock 88 catback will bolt up to it? Need to do something for a quick ghetto fix, my car is LOUD!
  2. I found some remanufactured, decked, vaccuum tested heads for 125 a piece. They are mpfi and gen2 I believe. I jumped all over it lol
  3. thank you! thank you! that is exactly the answer i was looking for. So im going to go ahead and order up the new ea82 heads and drill them and tap to make them work on my wagon! thank you!
  4. does the XT have to be turbo? if not, i found one i can pull the heads from
  5. okay im confused. if my block were a true EA82T would it have the "T" stamped on it? because it doesnt. The car is a 1989 Gl-10 AWD Turbo, it has all the badging, all the gadgets. To the best of my knowledge, the motor is original. I just ordered a set of remanufactured heads off of ebay and it says they will work on a EA82T. If i transfer the cam carriers from the old heads to the new will they work? and the reason i ordered two new heads is because the passenger side (turbo side) has one of the bridge cracks that goes all the way down into the runner = no go. And the drivers side head has a very badly stripped spark plug hole and a bridge cracks forming as well. I have access to a bridgeport and lathe in my uncles garage where the work will be taking place. Possible modification to new heads for an oil feed line?
  6. Found a MINT '89 gl-10 ea82t, guy said head gasket was blown. tore engine apart, found tiny cracks in between the valve seats. is this terribly bad? should i replace them? And if so, where can i find refurb heads?
  7. Well, I figured it out. I guess I am vin code 5. Thanks for the advice though!
  8. it is a 1989 Gl-10 EA82-T check out this link, it shows what I am trying to describe http://shop.oreillyauto.com/VehicleSelection.aspx?DestinationPage=%2fDefault.aspx&Year=1989&make=Subaru&Model=GL-10
  9. What does it mean when it asks for "vin-4", "vin-5" "vin-7". I am trying to order headgaskets, and i dont know the difference. Some replacement parts say for all 1800 c.c engines, but the headgaskets are specific. help!
  10. Just recieved a MINT 1988 Turbo Gl Wagon with all the options, pw, pl, pm, sunroof, roofrack. Interior is perfect, everything works! Body is straight, no rust, and the paint inside the storage box in the rear looks like a new car. i have lots of questions, will be posting asap (TD-04, wrx injectors and pump are sitting in my room, waiting!) P.S. I have owned a 1999 Impreza L and currently own a WRB 2004 WRX, was VF-34'd with supporting mods, now back to stage 2.
