  1. I could use a bj right now... you wanna share some of those tips with my fiance?
  2. Sold the GL-10 to a buddy of mine. He's gonna replace the tranny and do a few engine mods. He builds his own turbo setups, so I have a feeling that the GL-10 went to a good home.
  3. Took off the 13" Enkeis. Now they're sitting in the garage, waiting for carfreak85 to pick them up. The GL-10 lost just about all of its cool factor now that the stock subie wheels are back on.
  4. Hey, I don't have your phone # anymore. Hopefully you'll either see this or call me to get a hold of me. I have the wheels and tires off the car and I decided I'll just throw in the tires for free.

  5. i have hook ups in the auto repair industry and i can get all my labor done for free by an ASE certified mechanic, so i probably will just go and get a transmission and have it installed for free. I forgot about my connections I now have available. And after that, probably sell it anyways and just get an Impreza
  6. My GL-10. 1988, AWD, needs a new auto trans, 121k miles. Good condition body, sun damaged paint on roof, good interior, 13" gold Enkei wheels. Maroon in color. I'm gonna put a craigslist ad up as well as try and sell it to a buddy of mine who wants a project car like that. But with the tranny like it is, what do you guys think I could get for it? KBB says $1800 w/ a good transmission, but that seems steep, even if it was driveable.
  7. auto. I might actually just buy another Subie that's got the 5 spd, swap the EA82T motor into it, and put the Gold Enkeis onto it and just use the GL-10 as a parts car. It gives me an excuse to get a 5MT subie wagon.
  8. Blew up the GL-10's transmission tonight. Fortunately, I was in front of my ex gf's house when it happened (i knew she was nothing but bad luck) and i could use her phone to call AAA and get it towed back. There will be a carnage report in the coming days.
  9. Let's see, did a few things, actually. 1.) Cleaned the brake dust off my front wheels finally. They're actually gold now! 2.) Just about hit a deer on my way home again. But I suppose that's what you get for living in the mtns 3.) Decided on what color i'm gonna repaint it: Metallic Purple!
  10. ok, here's a concept that I like. I know that people have put non-subaru transmissions into subarus for quite a while now. Anyone have any suggestions on a transmission i could use in my Subaru to give it RWD only? And where could I get an adapter plate to run it? I'm debating switching over to a manual. Putting in an automatic would keep things easier, but as long as the whole transmission is coming out of the car and i'm going through the work to swap in another one, I could go that route.
  11. The exhaust is... well... yeah. but i do like the snow plow idea. speaking of snowplows, anyone have the subaru genuine accessory snow plow for the EA81? I've only seen subaru literature about it, but never anywhere else. I think they look really cool!
  12. So doing the center diff lock mod will make everything work out just fine? I was under the impression that it limited the difference in torque split, not truly "locked" it. Knowing this, I think my Subie is going to be RWD very soon.
  13. Flattened a raccoon on my way down the mtn from my house to my fiance's... then laughed maniacally for quite a while afterwards
