  1. Lewis, I don't believe I have that part. All my excess parts are for the old GL model Suby's. Unfortunately even if were to have the part you need, I am out of town for a bit. Good luck! John
  2. Ditto, I just had the same problem on a naturally aspirated EA81. Result was shot alternator. Take it in and get it tested. My $.02. Good luck!
  3. Chim, your buddy ever bring his car by for you to get the pic? I like what 1982gl4 did on his, just like to see other variations.
  4. Thanks, I hope this isn't any trouble, pictures speak a 1000 words!
  5. Collector? Is that like the cat, but without all the junk? Any pics?
  6. I'm working on fixing my EA81 exhaust (have holes and cracks). I was going to replace part of the drivers side Y-pipe and weld up another crack. I was wondering, if I made a straight pipe exhaust (like a header) and eliminate the cat, would I have problems tuning the factory carb? I would like to Weber in the future but can't right now. Thanks.
  7. I've got 2 GL wagons, 81 & 82. 81 is in rebuild and 82 is crunched along entire drivers side, would like to make it a woods runner in the future. So I'm 0 for 2. I guess I need to get my butt in gear!:-\
  8. I only know this from asking the same question, the fuel pump on these only works while the engine is turning. You won't get fuel to the carb until you start cranking the engine, and while it running. On here somewhere is the "How to keep your Subaru alive" manual. it has really good explanation of how to trace down what your trying to figure out. Good luck! Cheers!
  9. I have changed the engine, messed with the carb, messed with the exhaust, changed the ignition, getting ready to change the engine and tranny (again). Maybe some day I will actually get to drive the thing! I've only driven it to where it sits now in the garage waiting for me to get the time to work on her again. Poor car!
