  1. well today i got some better tires for the wagon. and i talked to my dad about goin with me, he seemed like its sometihng fun to do but isn't sure if he has the time. im comin home this next week for thanksgiving. I hope i can go, give me a chance to meet some of you.
  2. man i got some good snow/mud tires today already found some mud to play in.
  3. i hope to get some better tires for the winter. something a little more agressive. to bad were limited to next to no choices for 13in wheels.
  4. this sounds like it could be cool....not sure if i can make it though.
  5. yea your right. i wasn't stuck i could roll back. the hill was quite steep but not as steep as previous hills i have climbed, but the difference was that this dirt was real soft and real bumpy from cars digging holes and stuff. the last time i did it i didn't wuss out i went all out bouncing up and down, stuff flying around in the car im gonna go back out some time and explore the place some more.
  6. well my 84 has a real stiff clutch even after replacing the cluch, pressure plate and all that good stuff. i have lubed up the cable to get me by but its stiff again. your problem could be a bad pressure plate..or clutch cable from my experiece. though im kinda new to the subaru mechanical stuff.
  7. well not really local to cheney, its off 7 mile road in Spokane. about 20 miles or so away from cheney.
  8. man i went to the local ORV park today for some fun in my little ol suby. its a blast here are a few pics of me getting stuck... its bone stock with street tires. it seemed to suprise a few dirtbikers. i know these are not the most extreme off roaders nor were they built for it but man its fun anyway. http://photobucket.com/albums/v61/PeterDoellefeld/ORV%20Park/
  9. I was bord today so i went out this morning to get some coffee then to head out to find this 7mile ORV park. and sure enough i found it. here are a few picts i took, hopfully i can bring another friend out with his truck and we can take some video of my suby doing things that most people woulnt beleve. even with street tires. http://photobucket.com/albums/v61/PeterDoellefeld/ORV%20Park/ i got stuck on this hill about 3 times before i could get the right line. some guy on a 4 wheeler thought i was nuts and so did the people at the top of the hill when they saw a little tan suby crest the top.. man it made me feel like a little boy and his new sandbox
  10. how would i find this ORV park. im in Cheney. is it even open?
  11. i totaly agee with you on not making your own trails. im kinda looking for some lite offroad trails...dirt roads and such.
  12. hey does any one know of a good place to find some mud in the spokane area. evey place that i can find i know im going to get cought and fined or somthing knowing my luck...so if anyone has some good places they wouldn't mind telling a lonely college student feel free.
  13. chek this out... I have always wanted to make a wicked sleeper....i need to think of more ideas....or if i do maybe someone will use it.:-\
  14. what are your plans for the wheels. i hope you got some nice wide wheels and tires for thoes flairs. cool project though
  15. alrighti changed my clutch pp and anything else that may apply this summer and ive been driving it for while and have noticed that the clutch is very very heavy. it feels as if the brand new pressure plate is toast. before i got it running again my sister was driving it and busted the clutch cable before i changed the clutch. he "modified" a cable off of a parts car we had he said it was a little different. cold it just be real bad cable that is giving me problems? im stumped.
  16. alright im an owner of an older subaru and well have been a suby fan since i first drove it back when i turned 16 and just this last summer my friends parents kinda were wondering if i would possibly be interested in buying there 95 legacy turbo, its a sedan and also an automatic but it woud be a great car for daily driving i would think. my question is this how much woud a car like this be worth. my frind seems to think its worth alot...i cant remember what he said but it was alot for a car that is rare but at the same time not desierable as most other cars. what do you guys think.
  17. there is only one way the cv will slip on the splines so the pin will fit. try and rotate the axl 180degrees ether that or your a spline off and need to rotate it just a little bit more ether way. thats what i found out when i changed mine this summer.
  18. yea i know about the nuts on the struts. my dad i think messed with them but foudn that the camber went way positive so he lowered them back to normal. its just funny that subaru would engeneer it that way...its hard on tires even cornering is hard on the tires. kinda dumb i would say.
  19. hey ive been wondering about camber on these old wagons like my little 84. The camber just seems to be way way positive from what it shoud be. I have never adjusted anything, unless my dad did. and it dosn't have a lift kit on it. but as it sits in my driveway it sits with massive positive cabler compared to my little vw. and when i turn it really goes positive and i know when you turn the car will naturaly do that in our cases. but when its just sitting there it looks wrong. is there any adjustment we can make to fix that or just plan to buy tires when the ouside tred wares out...:-\
  20. I know just as much as you all. the guy who posted it was on vwvortex.com usernam jackwrx. but im not sure ware he found them. ive been talking to a friend of mine about a wrx drivetrain swap into my wagon as a project since i love sleepers...and man he stole my idea.:-\ oh well. not that im capable of such a feat.
  21. found this on the other board im on. badass MORE PICTS
  22. hey now;) i have liked subarus from the first time i saw one when i was young, turnes out my dad bought it and it was my first car...well sort of, it was his car and I drove it in highschool. cars that have purpose always pull me in, the suby was an awsome car and im lucky to still have it today, but i couldn't go on with 70hp, my vw was my first car that i bought with my money, it was a blast and still is, though my suby was the better choce to take to college. both companies are my top pics i have no beaf with ether of them. * lets not make this seem like another ricer web board and start bashing on other companies, they all offer a product that eachother dosn't have, drive a suby then a vw and tell me what is more fun....take a vw and suby in the snow...tell me what does better, you can compare ether one. well unless its a quantum syncro then i guess you can.
