It took two guys 2 days to sand it and then 3 days to coat it with urathane. There's at least 3 other rooms you can't see. The sanding took longer than the urathaning. UPDATE on the brats journey!!! He made it without any issues!!! WOW! I'm not surprised though. It was a beauty and ran like a clock once I got all the bugs out of it. Every stinking long trip (200 miles or less) I took in it something always broke... like CV joints, heater hoses, radiator hoses etc etc. He writes... Just got back at noon Kansas time today. Great trip! 1350 miles. I stayed in St. Louis last night and finished the 6 hour drive this morning. I averaged 34 mpg. The Brat came right along. I'm anxious to get started on detailing it. here's what I did with the money. I had the hardwoods floors redone in an apartment building I own.

I recently put it on ebay with a $2000. Reserve. It only got up to $1850 but a nice guy from Kansas emailed me about it. He REALLY wanted it. He flew into Albany NY last night at 8pm and drove away an hour later in his new 86 Brat. 1300 miles to his home. He's probably still driving now. BYE BYE Brat.

I paid $300 for four 15" pug alloys from a 1990 505 at my local junkyard. They're the only ones that had em. You want cheap pug steels? Go ahead... if you like ugly. If you're just offroading and don't care what your rig looks like then go for the steels. If you want a sube that people will see and say... "NICE 4 wheeler" then get the alloys.

So, it's mostly cause you're all cheap bastards who can't get down to the local junkyard?! I get it now. Pug steels... yeah they look real nice! NOT!

I always wondered why folks put 14" pugs on their subes? The whole idea of putting pugs on is to get more ground clearance. Since pugs come in 15" why not install those and get the extra lift?
