  1. Did you have to take off the hub?? If yes, how hard was it?? I have the same problem on my 2001 Legacy
  2. If you need a pit stop, refreshments, coffee or a fast sandwich or even just to say hi ...... you know my place.
  3. Has anyone used this manual? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6762&item=7972817329&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW
  4. I don't think I have noticed any loss of drive. The noice is heard when steering very slightly to the left when accelerating and above 15-20mph. It doesn't happen in complete turns either left nor right. I found this shop on yellow pages: PAULS SUBARU SPECIALIST, 1320 WOLCOTT RD 06716 . Does this have anything to do with you Moosens? It would be great. Thanks
  5. Here is the story. I just gave away my 87 XT turbo gl-10 Coupe because I couldn't take care of it as good as I wanted and also needed more room with the new baby and all. I made sure it goes to good hands, so I sold it to another USMB member, wagonsonly. I'm sure he'll take good care of it. Now I have a 93 Lefgacy sedan and 2001 legacy wagon, which means that i have to post to the newer generation board. With all due respect to the newer subbies, I like this room much better. The problem is on my 93 legacy. The noise happens every time when accelerating, especially from a complete stop. Stronger and more consistent when going up hill. It's like: dup-dup-dup. I checked myself and also went to the MIDAS that is next to my work and also to another local mechanic. They didn't find anything also on the CV joints or boots, but one of them is suggesting I should go to a transmissions shop. (It's an auto ). I don't think so. The other one blamed the tires, as they were in bad condition. I changed the tires, but the noise is still there To be more specific, the noice is like if the lug nuts were loose. What could it be????? __________________

  9. You should try to talk the old lady down to EUR 1600 (US$2000). Blame the insurance cost. I don't think you would like the gas mileage of the automatic one. Buona fortuna! OLS

  11. I just bought the 93 Legacy (non-turbo) with 100k miles on it and in a very good shape for a very good price. The only poblem I have is a noise coming from the front under the car. It happens when accelerating and up-hill. Had the axles, cv joints and boots and wheel barings checked at a local mechanic and he told me that everything looks fine. I'm not sure he checked it as good as he should, because the clicking sounds like it's coming from (maybe) the midle of the front-end of the car and happens only when steping hard on the gas pedal from stopped and I don't think it's effected from turning left or right. ????????? Any sugestions or help? I'm not sure if this car is clasified as older or newer subi. __________________
