  1. I think you will find that is the rear shock! refer to post below for options! For the front strut I would probably have it rebuilt unless you upgrade/ modify to a later strut. It is a simple enough process to rebuild and there should be somebody in your area that can do it.
  2. koni 80-2134 this would suit lowered cars. I am sure that koni would have a longer one if you have standard height or raised
  3. 1978 brumby as it was in 2000 EA71 single range 4wd lots of km http://img709.imageshack.us/img709/1345/origionalute3.jpg' alt='origionalute3.jpg'> Uploaded with ImageShack.us[/img] 2 years later eg20t wrx brakes gearbox ect 211kw at the wheels 60000 km on ej driveline Uploaded with ImageShack.us cheers Troy
  4. I have koni adjustable rear shocks. if you want something a little better They are the same as rear shocks for a aussie holden commodore ute, not sure what year. I can have a look at the part number if you are interested.
  5. It hit the stopper (180kph) on the drag strip, that was when it only had about 170kw
  6. This is my beast! I really need to take some new photos!
  7. Thanks for the offer, what would you want for a complete set including corners. I think that postage may be a problem? If it is going to cost to much I will eventually remove the trim and weld, fill and sand the tray edge to achieve that shaved look! Might do the rain gutters while I am at it as well!
  8. I love your work that rear end is not going anywhere! This is something I have seen a lot a lot of people do without realising the Consequences. When you lower ride height plus lower the crossmember the lower trailing go from angling down to straight or even worse angling upwards. They angle down for a very good reasion. It is called roll centre What happens as the control arm moves up during compression during Cornering this forces the wheel outwards, the opposing force resists the compression reducing body roll. If the control arm is flat or angling upwards the wheel moves inwards during cornering compression and induces more body roll. If does not make any sence just google roll centre for a better explination. My suggestion would be to lower the engine in the car without moving the steering rack and control arm mounting points. You can get roll centre adjusters for wrx's that move the tie rod end and ball joint lower but not a much as 2" and they are very expensive. I am actually making custom front control arms for my brumby(brat) that mount higher and further out on the cross member and spacers for the tie rods so i can adjust out the bump steer and my crossmember has only been lowered 1/2" Ps You can get plenty of negative camber with adjustable strut tops or lengthened control arms.
  9. Has anyone tried to use later gen 2 brat (brumby) chrome trim on a gen 1 brat around the tray. I am sure that it would be nearly impossiable to get a good gen 1 replacement but gent 2 trim is easy to come by. MY ute was an old farm basher before I fixed it up and I just painted the trim black at the time which is now chipped and scratched and something needs to be done. I figure the gen 2 trim should be similar and might fit with a few mods?
  10. I will take a set if anyone makes them. I am in australia but postage should not be much for such a small item.
