  1. To be honest I rip second gear at the strip's, well I used too lol most guys that drag scoobs take it a little easy on the 1st to 2nd transition and the same with launches. It all just depends on how your driving and who's the driver, but I will say more often than not I've seen 2nd gear failures if your hooning like a turd. The vehicle was : 03 LGT 257/205 Hybrid VF43 ACT HD clutch (all normal mods, intake, exhaust, etc.) tuned by torqued performance (eric minehart) Not really sure how we all got sidetracked on the conversation haha, there's only one reason I would suggest a STI trans over a spec b unit.. the speed sensor on 4th Gen Legacy's isn't mechanical based.
  2. I have never killed third in a 5sp, but I cant say the same for second. With both 1st and 2nd being part of the main shaft I've killed 5 of them haha. I really think it is a flex and shock issue but if you treat them with a little care they will stay together. If you happen to shred third you can just replace that gear which is nice when compared to the entire main shaft as I mentioned for the lesser two gears.
  3. Yes and No. An STi unit might be a little easier all assuming, even though the Spec B units are geared better (6th gear only). I know it sounds crazy.. but trust me lol.
  4. Bring this car back to life!! I've been putting one I purchased almost a year ago back together piece by piece. At the moment im a little behind but gotta keep these 6's alive! If its 100% original I would keep it that way personally, just my opinion.
  5. There is a XT and XT4/6 in the Oregon pick an pull just a heads up
  6. No it can’t unfortunately. It’s a straight line from the steering computer to ECU. I wish it ran to the test connector it would make life wayyyyyy easier!
  7. Yeah that’s what I’m assuming. What that signal is.. I.e. a ground signal, a positive voltage signal, or some kind of pulse...that I don’t know and need to find out.
  8. So I’m doing a swap on my XT6 and I’m digging into the diagrams I have.. It looks like pin#63 a Brown/Red wire goes to the cybrid steering computer. I’m trying to remove everything in this car that isn’t needed including the Factory ECU. What I’m asking, is anyone willing to put let’s say a volt meter on pin#63 while their vehicle is running/ not running and see what comes out of it. I’m assuming it’s a (ground)signal letting the cybrid computer know the engine is running. The car is very basic so I can’t really believe it’s more than that hahahha. I honestly should have tested this before I ditched the ER but it’s water under the bridge at this point. 88 XT6 EZ30R Swap
  9. My Thoughts exactly...number 1 reason I’ve ditched all the ER stuff and just decided to AWD and EZ30R swap mine
  10. Did a 3 angle valve job, cleaned up the ports on the intake/exhaust, and milled down the heads a bit on my ER in high school. The power was nice! Lost a few upper RPM in the rev range but I can’t say at all that the engine didn’t wake up lol Didnt last very long though. I used the wrong silicone for the cam carriers/housings (I just didn’t know. I was a kid) and it broke down into chunks and clogged up the oil pickup.
  11. I’ll add it one we’re accepted by the admins. I don’t have a FB currently so the Mr’s signed up
  12. Hummn I’ll have to look into that. I don’t have a Facebook though
  13. Calling all XT6 owners. Trying to gauge interest I’ve got a close friend of mine talking with a few vendors at the moment and custom clear front markers for the XT6. If he can get 10 orders the price would be about $80. I’m not a vendor myself and wouldn’t be handling the finances, I would have that individual add themselves register etc. just let me know what you guys think!
  14. If you have problems finding one close, there is an XT in a yard about 3hrs from me.

    91 xt6

Honestly I Would, but I dont have the space and it would be to costly to ship it home. Runs great too only 120K on it

    91 xt6

This is exactly what im doing.... almost no point other than a mint collector to keep the ER in place. Its 2019 parts almost dont exist and swapping is king right now. Gotta keep them alive and keep them fun!
  17. Are you trying to use front axles in the rear or vise versa?
  18. Honestly not sure. I found plenty in the yards but seems the 91 cars had different belts so the older ones didn’t fit.
  19. Shipping to ya tomorrow!! Let me know if ya like them. Just made seat belt covers. I was missing one and couldn’t find a proper fit. Easy fix!
  20. That’s the looks of it now adays. Luckily I’m on this side of the country now, otherwise it would be yet another decently clean car passing right by me
