  1. say...... what is the backspacing on those toyota 15x7 wheels.
  2. my problem is though to find wheels that wont stick out and can mount a 235 onto.
  3. i am working on the metal fab to use the origonal air cleaner with my weber, not nearly as hard as i thought and it will be easier to hook it all back up. pics soon!
  4. its close, from the sidewall of the tire to the "new struts" is 2" if not less, it feals like less....
  5. ya i checked this morning i dont think a 8" wheel will fit..... and i dont think a 7" will iether
  6. WHOA! a straight axel subaru????? and not to mention that it is SUPER lifted.
  7. thanks! after i asked that question i undid that screw and found out it was a vacuum port and felt dumb. but oh well, thank you for the other information it was well apreciated!
  8. Remember, if the backspace is the same as a stock sube wheel, the only clearance issues would have from tire to suspension is with the interaction between tire and wheel and the resulting sidewall "bubble" ya, but if i does rub on the strut does that mean it will rub in the back too?
  9. ok so if there is only one like in my case then can i tee the vacuum advance, or should i just use one of the other many unused vacume ports on the intake for the vacuum advance.
  10. so then if i find out that they do rub, can i just get like 1/4 or 1/2" less backspacing?
  11. so is that vacume port under the electronic choke for the pcv? seems a little small...
  12. so i was thinking.... these: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/USW-704-5860P/?rtype=10 have stock backspacing but are 3" wider, will they rub on the inside?
  13. ya i paid 500 for my car up front, and since then have put about 3k into it. i probably wont get what i want out of that 06' wrx for less than 15k ish. and i dont even know where to look for a 78 besides japan, lol
  14. yeah buddy! if i could have these three ( witch i will one day ) i would have my current car ( 85 wagon, soon to be lifted 2" ) my next car ( 06' wrx, turbo hatch back ) and if i find one ( 78 wagon, cherry red ) one day......
  15. i would do it, but i plan on getting an 06' wrx in the next couple of years, so its not worth it for me.
  16. ^^^ yeah i was going to say something but im not going to argue, better seen than heard.
  17. lets see.... buttoned my car up, bled the brakes, torqued EVERTHING, figured i might as well paint the drums while the rear tires were off ( sorry no pics ) so i did that and took it on a drive expirimented with the shifting curve, shifting @ 5000 sound good if i really want it to pull. it winds out at about 5200, but it pulls really well at about 4600 ish in the lower gears. i tried to climb this big rump roast hill ( 25-30 degrees, 100 yards ) started to power hop at the top, and i didnt want to break an axle shaft so i put it in 4wd. the craptachi is REALLY crappy cause now that i think of it my subie is starving for some oxygen. soon to do, rear suspension, weber swap, and cap and rotor, oil change+seafoam!
  18. so what happens if there is no solenoid, you said it was an option on a weber so do the carbs with out it have problems?
  19. unless you are wanting more performance, then drill your hubs/drums out to 6 lug. if you want impreza performance, and five lug wheels then i guess...
  20. why do you say that? it is alot more work, and cost more, and i like the selection of wheels for 6 lug preferably.
