to build a blask cabinet big enough for a 15" wheel would be a pain in the rump roast i think. now what might be more practical is to buy this from harbor freight and then modify it. ived used one there pretty nice! http://www.harborfreight.com/garage-shop/blast-cabinets/40-lb-capacity-floor-blast-cabinet-93608.html

pretty much ive use the media blasters like the one on ebay your looking at, if you dont wear a mask it is way worse that you could imagine, and the clean up is terrible. at least with a blast cabinet you can re-use the media. if you use one like that you cant reuse it unless your in a controlled area were it would fall on a tarp.

I KNOW RIGHT!!! my mom has a 03' impalla and the oil filter is a B*tch to get too. my buddy at school is rebuilding his evo with turbo parts. on his evo witch is an 8 the engine compartment isnt any worse than that of an ea82. and besides subarus carry nestalgic value!! -
ya it is about 80 psi so you dont even see the sand you just have to track the new shiny spot on the metal to see where your at. that sand blaster you picked out will work but you will have to use it out side. on the plus side though you wont have a size constraint. if you get a blast cabinet it will allow you blast in a controlled environment, other wise you will need goggles and a face mask cause that sand is like worse that aspestos.

unless you are blasting thin sheat metal body panels use sand, or glass bead ( pricey though) plastic bead doestnt work as well as sand, unless your blasting body panels and dont want to warp the metal because of the heat from fricion. IE; sand causes more friction than plastic HARBOR FRIEGHT IT UP!!!

yeah i can now see the value of ej motors. before i was kind of clue less as to what they were, but now im going to start expanding my subaru knowledge. you know what would be bad rump roast in that subaru on craigs list? is if you could drop a fully fuel injected ej in it, turbo alchahol injected instead of intercooled, that way you could run super cold conditions and make more power because alchahol has 2 extra particles of oxygen. -

i researched it and it depends, with stock components the peak torque comes in @ 3200rpm and peak power @ 5200 rpm. but that is also with the craptachi, so maybe the weber makes the difference. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subaru_EA_engine -

ya ive allways wanted an evo 8. i watched a dino pull of an turbo'd evo 8 with 10lbs of boost and it made 550hp @ 6000 rpm. in my opinion just as good as an WRX -

dont shoot me when i say this, i know alot of people are very brand bias, but honestly if i owend that ea82 sedan. i would keep the body the same and drop a turbo mitsubishi motor in it, and a functional computer with traction controll!!:brow::Flame::headbang::headbang: -
