  1. We replaced the bearing...pressed it out and then oput it back in...but the whole steering wheel moves pretty freely...so i think it's the whole assembly that needs replacing...is steering knuckle the proper part name? I'm not stupid...just refer to it as the hub and maybe that's why I'm not finding it....? Thanks a lot, Angel
  2. Thank you very much...hmm...replaced the fuel pump and filter...replaced the spark plugs...could the wires cause this too? Angel
  3. Hi guys, I am wondering...short of going to a dealer, where could I purchase a driver's side front wheel hub? And does anybody know what causes stalling out issues? Our car will stall then restart and run just fine... Angel
  4. Thank you Kilroy...We are hoping to figure this out soon...I don't think it is the issue you have given us but maybe you are right...we'll try what you said out and I'll get back to you.... Angel
  5. Montana, Our friend did the fuel pump and the brakes. We replaced the fuel pump with a Master pump from Auto Zone...but he put it on for us...we have done our own brakes before on another car and have not experienced the sound we are now...we're thinking of having a look at them ourselves...we do not know how to bleed the brakes and we are wondering if that could be a problem... Angel
  6. Hey Guys, We just replaced our fuel pump and the thing is making an odd noise. It is pumping fuel but making alot of noise. Any help or direction would be welcomed as we are doing all of our own repairs now...One more question: We replaced the rotors and brake pads and now it sounds like scraping even when the brakes are not applied...any ideas? Thanks for the help, Angel
  7. Nipper, Thank you...can't quite get what you mean though...we definitely do not hear the click anymore but I searched through the posts you hyperlinked for me and I'm not finding a solution...except to take apart the gear shifter assembly around it...it works when we press the button at the base...could something have come apart under the gear shift assembly? Angel
  8. Thanks. We've tried looking in our repair manual but no luck there either...maybe someone will read this and know what we're talking about...appreciate the reply.
  9. Hi. We have a 1993 Legacy Sedan L 2 wd...for quite some time now we have been unable to shift the car into gear without depressing a button at the base of the gear shifter. We used to just depress the brake pedal to do this...How can we fix this issue? It is so annoying...Thanks.
  10. HEY DUDE, I'm not an expert but any chance you can get the assembly at a U-Pull it type place, they are much cheaper and so far all of the parts we pulled, worked. Angel
  11. Can anyone tell me where to find the brake release switch on a 93 legacy? Our car won't shift without pressing the button on the console and we'd like to fix it. Angel
  12. RC, Could you please tell how to find the brake switch, our car will not shift even when the brake pedal is depressed. We have to push the button down on the console to get it to go into gear... Angel
  13. Hi, New here and just wanted to see if you guys can see me. Angel:banana:
  14. Hello, My name is Angel. My husband Phil and I own a 93 Subaru Legacy L sedan. We bought it used about 7 years ago and we are having a bit of difficulty with the car now. It seems that whenever we try to go 60 or above the car struggles. It seems as though the engine is pulling back. The whole car shakes. We changed the air filter and now it seems worse. Also, the air blower motor works a little bit only, Phil took it off and cleaned it and it seemed to respond well but after about a week it is back to working only sporadically and then very little air at all. Any suggestions or ideas would be well appreciated. Thank you, Angel Terry
