  1. My wifes 02 forester is currently having problems releasing the shiflock when the brake is pressed. I can feel it attempting to engage when my hand is on the shifter but it takes about 5minutes for it to go after several attempts. Any ideas? fuse is good based on it attempting to go. First auto we've owned in several years, now i know why i like manuals so much. My 93 lego warwagon has never had this shiz happen, but of course, its a 5spd.
  2. needs new plugs. cant hear or feel a misfire, but like i said, its time for the spring tune. does oreilly do that? i just like them a bit better? i guess a simple call would answer that. thanks again everyone
  3. i know that the CEL flashing could be potentially a pretty bad problem on the horizon but it started flashing right after i put a new battery on. With the old battery, the CEL stayed on but never flashed. Cant really find any answers by searching but any ideas? plug wires are fine, no distributor ticking, there are some visegrips as part of my positive battery connection but its not touching my hood or any other metal. I havent tried disconnecting the batt as of yet because the weather is ************ at the moment but thats going to be my next step......
  4. yeah, the exterior had the cancer and i wasnt about to bondo a car with 290k. i think it turned out pretty good and it definitely stopped any exterior rust. it might be rotting freom the inside out but i cant see it so whatevs. i just got my wife a forester so i now have 3 vehicles. the warwagon is my dd and my xterra is now just sittin and being driven on the weekend. this thing is so cheap to drive that it would be hard to get rid of it. my wife let it crash into my vanagon and broke a few welds on the bumper so im not sure but i might take it off. the inner bumper looks pretty good by itself so either way i guess.
  5. Looking forward to some good subie talk and pics, etc. Heres a few pics of my WARWAGON. I also have a new forester with no mods as of yet and a lifted Xterra, but thats another forum.. Lastly, a 1984 Vanagon begging me to get er running and after seeing all these Vanarus, my wheels are turning. Anyway, heres some pics of the car that just wont quit.http://s832.photobucket.com/albums/zz245/flyryguy78/bikes/Warwagon/
