  1. Got told about this one as well - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/170513867839?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 I'm in Australia but it comes from Hong Kong so shipping to US shouldn't be an issue. Apparently fits easily in the stock fascia depth wise so no need for the spacer plates & only minor trimming to the sides to fit nicely. Keen to get mine to fit. http://www.ausubaru.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=2983&d=1319443059
  2. Coolant levels & colour all good. Oil full & appears all good.
  3. Nope, sensor...from what I cant tell it just gives the gauge a reading.
  4. Moves up & down with revs while driving otherwise it's at the normal temp, doesn't go up when at a standstill. Seems to be rpm related. It's from an apparently good aftermarket company over here in Aus...our dealer parts would be about 5x the cost & I wouldn't be suprised if there were none available.
  5. Noticed a small issue just now, (1990 L series, carby) As my revs rise the water temp gauge is rising as well, more prevalent at about 3000rpm+ (don't have a tacho so can't say for sure). Normally runs at 1/3rd on the gauge, as soon as I rev higher it moves to about 2/3rds up. If I let the car idle straight after revving or pop it in neutral while driving it just goes back to normal operating temp. I have replace the water temp sensor on the top left side of the block about 2 months ago so doubt that would be faulty & car is still way to hot at the moment to check coolant/oil etc. Car doesn't seem to be driving any worse than normal for a EA82 & no other obvious symptoms of a blown head gasket. If it was the car overheating I doubt it would go down as soon as the revs drop but I don't really know. Happened to anyone else before?
  6. Long story short I accidently snapped one of the brittle nipples on the AACV (active air control valve) yesterday & found this thread - http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=115035&highlight=ea82+vacuum - conveniently had exactly what I needed so I set about swapping it for a 'T' piece today. All lines unplugged fine but I when I pulled out the rear most hose that goes to the rear of the carby a dribble of fuel came out, not heaps & I didn't leave it to see if it kept coming but there was enough for me to be worried. Tipping the AACV up when I took it off & fuel dribbled out as well. Should there be fuel in there? Haven't noticed a difference in removing the AACV...don't even know what I should be expecting?
