I have a 2000 impreza outback sport and recently when i hit the brakes the instrument cluster lights up and when i let go of the brake it shuts off, also the display on the radio always stays on when the car is off there is nothing displayed on the radio,its just lit up. Any ideas? thank you very much in advance. Mike

Hi,how's it going? I just recently purchased a 2000 Impreza Outback Sport Wagon that unfortunately came with a tape deck. I found a stock CD unit from a 2003 Impreza Outback Wagon for sale and i was wondering if it would work? Would i have to modify or purchase a new harness or would it just install with no modifications? I also have the part number of the radio i want to purchase,does anyone know if there is a website that i could look up the part number to see if it will fit or should i call the a dealer? my speedometer on my 93 impreza is way off when the needle does register it is about 15-30mph to fast it also sometimes just goes right up to the 140mph mark and when its not doing that its flying back and forth between like 50 and 80mph. also sometimes if i am driving slow like when i am pulling in to my driveway and shut the car off the needle is pointing at 80mph. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing these problems? is this a diy job or should i not even bother? thanks

strange noise when steering..help i was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction with a problem that i am having. so here we go. I have a 93 Impreza 2wd, 5-Speed, when i turn the wheel more than half way to the left and accelerate i get a clicking noise, someone told me that it could be the cv axle on the passenger side so i replaced anyway since it had a crack in the boot and all the grease came out but after i replaced it, it is still making the clicking noise. Could it be the other is bad as well or is there something else i need to check. thanks
