  1. yeah sad to see it go, I do stand there staring at the garage for a bit every day. I am sure a new project will be on the way. Sorry to say pob not a old subie.
  2. Don't think so but he said he was going to put a 4" lift on it.
  3. Problem solved I sold the brat. I lost $50 on it and had it for a year and a half. It was sad to see it go but this guy was more excited about it than I was... Thanks for all the help and advice. I also learned a hard lesson on rust.
  4. I hope those are not hard to take out. I will pull the connector and jump the wires manually and see what happens.
  5. nope was not messing with it but I numbered all the connectors on the other thread said it might be the switch. its got all the keys to everything.

  7. So its been fine for weeks ever since I got the motor in even before. Started up fine and then, turn the key off and it keeps running. I have to pull the wire to the carb to get it to stop. Funny thing is once I do that.. It does not have power after it dies. Go figure. The only thing I can think of is the voltage regulator or something. Do you guys have any ideas?
  8. I knew it would come to me if I stared at it long enough. I can shake the whole brat and the bat dose not budge. I have to finish up the pass side fender area then going to prob put the brush guard on and prep and paint. I have few other places to paint so hope to do it all in one shot mostly fender wells and other spots that I welded nuts on.
  9. I tried to figure out why the pre pump was not working. So after few days I gave up and spliced it into the solenoid wire back in the harness that goes to the carb. I should have done that long time ago. when the buzzers on the solenoid kicks on along with the pre pump to fill the carb. I was going to do a switch but this is not a race car and I don't think anyone will steal this. lol Little bit by bit.
  10. I got the front end almost together. I have to cut one of the bolts on the brush guard before I bolt it on. I will prob get the divers fender on tomorrow might have to fix some nuts on the apron tomorrow but its all going together pretty good.
  11. I was looking for a take off for free. I could buy the muffler and do the rest. :-p
  12. Looking at the exhaust. I posted on the nw subie forum for a free wrx exhaust. I would like this thing to sound like a wrx. Do you have any suggestions to get this sound? 2" exhaust with a glass pack? If you could help me out on this let me know what you guys have done with your.
  13. I got the brake caliper installed. Those little cotter pin clips like to shoot all over if your not careful. It did not take long to bleed the line out either. As for the head lights I can not figure out why the guy jumped the harness and made that rats nest. I plugged in both lights and turned them on. I have high and low beams, go figure. It must have been when I went through everything and checked the grounds and cleaned it all up. I will prob ground the head lights to the battery if I have some room left. I am going to put the front end together this week and make sure every thing works as it should. So need to: make battery strap put headlights and front trim on finish up a panel in the fender well prep and paint fine tune the carb (maybe a relay for the fuel pump on start up) It will def be nice to get most of this stuff done and movable.
