  1. Five more days until cars go hot on stage! It looks like there will be a lot of water crossings this year, which always results in some great photos as well as some bent up cars. NASA R.S. has also started a new instagram account to post some of the 19,000+ archived photos they have from events. Give them a follow and some likes: @nasarallysport
  2. Forgot to add that Volunteers get free lunch and dinner on Saturday as well as a free event shirt. There's also a sign up for room sharing on NASARallySport.com
  3. Sandblast Rally is back again on March 1st, 2014. There are already over 45 cars and another 35 bikes signed up and it needs your help running the event. You don't need any experience or special equipment to volunteer and by doing so you will get some of the best spots to spectate, a chance to party and hang with the drivers at the awards banquet and more than likely get you some free stuff. For more info on volunteering you can visit here: Volunteering | NASA Rally Sport and to sign up to volunteer go here: http://www.nasarallysport.com/nrsdb (you will have to log in/ sign up). If you can't volunteer you can still come and check out a full day of Rally Racing in the woods of South Carolina. Spectating is free and all the stages are within a short drive of Cheraw, SC. All special stage are on Saturday with a short shakedown stage on friday evening followed by a parc expose. Saturday will have a full day of stages (that include night stages) and you will get several opportunities to check out the cars and talk to the drivers throughout the day at service. The event website with the schedule, entry list and directions is at: SandBlast Rally - Cheraw, South Carolina
  4. Awesome event!! Full results with stage scores for cars and bikes are here: http://www.nasarallysport.com//results/2013-Sandblast-Rally-overall-detail.htm Photo Gallery here: http://photos.nasarallysport.com/2013SandblastRally (check Chris Meegan's for some of the best actions shots or give him a follow/ like on FB: @MeeganRallyVideos)
  5. With a month to go the event is "sold out" with a reserve of driver and rider on the waiting list, so it will be a full 60 minutes of competitiors to watch.
  6. Sandblast Rally is back on March 2nd, 2013 with over 37 cars and another 38 bikes already signed up. Come check out Rally Racing in the woods around Cheraw, SC. The whole event is on Saturday with night stages and several opportunities to check out the cars and talk to the drivers. Spectating is free and volunteering will get you the best views, a chance to party and hang with the drivers at the awards banquet and more than likely get you some free stuff. You can sign up to volunteer here:: http://NASARallySport.com/nrsdb Event website with the schedule, entry list and directions is at: http://www.sandblastrally.com
  7. For anyone on the fence or not familiar with what a volunteer does, descriptions of each job are at: http://www.nasarallysport.com/main/volunteering Still need some more Marshall's, come out and help if you can.
  8. Not at Summit Point! It's solid clay in some sections and it's near impossible to move. They've also been getting hit with rain from all the Hurricane's so some flooding still in lower areas.
  9. For anyone in the Up State Ny area (or willing to make a drive) Black River Stages is back on September 23rd and 24th. It's the 5th round of the Atlantic Rally Cup and is based out of Harrisville, Ny (east of Watertown). These are IMO the best roads of the year (better than STPR, NEFR, RWV etc.) and there are currently 42 cars and bikes on the entry list. It's free to come out and spectate or you can (and should) sign up to volunteer and help make the rally happen. You don't need any experience to volunteer and you'll get one of the best spots on the course to watch the cars and bikes slide by. You need to register to sign up, and you can do that here. There are usually a few teams racing that will allow volunteers to crash on their floor. The place place to find who they are is on on SpecialStage.com I'd start in this thread: Black River Stages - Who's Coming? The event site with schedule, entry list, maps and lodging info is at Black River Stages or post up any questions and I'll answer the best I can.
  10. Anyone headed out to the SCCA RallyCross National Challenge at Summit Point? It was supposed to be this coming weekend 12th, but if getting pushed back because of all the rain. Will be on sunday the 18th now. J.
