Nice build! I love when the right mods come together in a short thread. Meaning you know what you are doing. What is next?

Great, thank you for the info. I will have to see what the step is for an EA71. I believe this to be the "ledge" height, is that correct? So in theory if they machined .500" off the face then the step would be .500" higher. If you wanted the step to be .225" then that would be what they remove from the step. Or if you needed a higher step then they would take more off the face. Am I thinking right? Appreciate the insight as I am learning.

Nice ol Jeep wheels! I may have missed but are you swapping these on the Subie? Are they the Yota/Chevy pattern by chance? What did you do about the pan gasket and sealing it?

X20000 Can't wait to hear the numbers!

I have to start looking for this to be done on my EA71 flywheel. Do I need to locate a driveline shop or? Do auto stores typically do this? Will whomever does this know what to remove or would I need to tell them? Did the shop clean it that well? May I ask how much this cost? I want to get a ballpark to save up. I can call around I just wanted to narrow it down. I tried to strip the pics from my post but the iPad fought me. Thanks!

And installed with grade 8 all around - not moving!

Finally have the jumpseats mounted. Since light is getting scarce here in the Rockies I had to do some night pics so they are not the best. But you get the idea. Frame sanded down to bare metal and primed. Used the same flat black enamel as the headrests. Some new OEM hardware - gotta love it! And here we are, finally!

If you knew me you would agree I am OCD. Every one else does, lol. I will look at your thread, lol.

Oh, got ya on that. I have worked my way from a single apartment to a double to a rental to a bought home. I now have three car garage and remember doing oil changes in my apartment parking lot. Well at least you are getting it done either way. -
That is so cool. Any more pics or story behind it?

I considered the route you went with the angle iron. But I wanted to make it look (almost) stock. With the seats mounted all you will see is the front hoops on the frame. That and I had to use those two huge holes in the center. Heck, I don't even know what they should look like stock now that I think about it, lol.

Gotta love cutting and torching some metal! And Voila! Made sure every measurement was perfect and welded it in. But I kept thinking I needed even more support so I decided to use a flat bar on the bottom as well for the perfect sandwich. Everything lined up perfectly and the seats clear the headrests by about 1/2" as I wanted. I will finalize the welds later today, clean it all up, prime and paint. This will look awesome and function as well. If I ever need to remove the seats they come out with 4 bolts in a few minutes. Jon

Wow, this is cool. I basically have a thread for my own enjoyment. Guess posting all of this is not worth responses?! Oh well, I will keep it going for now. Got my jumpseats figured out finally. I had to grind off all of the old mounts and some other odd welds that were in the bed. There were two large bolts going through the middle and they were all rusted and needed to go. But these also gave me the idea of where to mount the main tie-in for the frame of the jump seats. I used some angle iron to make new mounts for the two outside supports of the frame. To make the center mount though it would need to contour the bed lines. What to do? I decided to get some flat bar and get creative. I needed to fill those two large holes fairly well so I knew I needed 1/2" bolts. Grade 8 of course. I made some measurements and had at it.

Ha ha ha!!! Thanks to Turbosubarubrat for the great heads up on some fenders! Called the place in Boring Oregon and they indeed had two fenders that were OEM and new, well kind of. Light surface rust and a pretty $$$$. But, I am now complete with parts once these arrive. Thanks again Turbo for the time and help.

And I thought my 32 year old Brat was bad - that Legy was bad!!! -
I keep thinking this guy is sitting in an ADD class or something? Grates on me, lol. Edit: Adult ADD that is.

No apologies - we all have busy lives. I cannot imagine how bad shipping would be to the states for those. I am almost sad to say I wouldn't be interested. For that size and weight I am thinking a few hundred dollars if not more. I have a lead on some at the moment but if all else fails I will go the UK route. Thank you for your time in searching for me.

Need gen 1 passenger door handle arm
O.C.D. replied to O.C.D.'s topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
I was going to make one, no big deal. But then I realized that every time I make something I invest 3 or 4 hours here and there. For this I thought I would save the hassle. Edit: I love making things and building personal touches is what I meant - not for this though. -
I should add that I noticed my passenger's side washer was some random flat washer so I ordered a new spring washer from SubaruParts.com for like $8 bucks. Expensive but the right part......
