  1. spray some wd40 arround the intake and see if it starts to run better! you might have a bad intake mainfold gasket.
  2. When i got my 97 GT i had the same problem with the rear hatch and the passenger side door. I sprayed a lot of penetrating oil inside the lock mechanism thru the keyhole and left it for a half hour then used the key to slowly work it back and forth till it started working. I then used lithium grease to lubricate the lock
  3. I have a 97 GT Wagon and I had the same sunroof leak. I removed the A pillar plastic trim and the two sun visors and passenger side handle and then pulled down on the headliner to reveal that the plastic drain pipe for the sunroof was no longer attached to the drain spouts. For some reason they shrunk by about an inch so all of the water from the sunroof was draining on top of the headliner then down the Apillar plastic trim into the passeneger and driver footwells. I fixed the problem by going to Home Depot and buying some 1/2 inch inside diameter plastic pipe and two plastic barbed fittings for joining the original and the new plastic pipe to extend the tube to reach the drain on the sunroof. Laz
  4. I have the same problem with the sunroof leaking into the passenger footwell. Then I realized that the driver side is leaking too. This is on a 97 GT Wagon. I removed the Apillar plastic trim and sunvisors and it is evident that the plastic drain hose shrunk by at least 1" and both slipped off the spout of the sunroof drain. I tried pulling on the plastic hose but it will not give enough to reattach. Will have to visit Home Depot tonight to purchase plastic hose. Its pouring outside!!!!!!!!!
  5. Can I possibly get a carfax 4S3BK6757V6303997 galapagos@rogers.com Thanks
  6. I had the same problem with mine when I bought my 97 GT 2 months ago! I had missfire in 2 cylinders and the engine was running like crap. The reason the guy sold it so cheap he thought the engine was shot. The first thing that went trough my mind was the coil pack or plugs then it turned out to be the intake gasket was ripped! cost me $12 Got some WD40 and started spraying arround the intake and as soon as I got close to the problem the engine started to run smootly. The moron sold me his car that he tought was a 96 and its actually a 97 got it for $3000 and spent less than $200 to put it on the road. I'm Loving It. just my 2 cents Laz
  7. I got a 97 Legacy GT and have the same scratch running from the top to the bottom. There is a glass guide inside the door that probaly got dust contaminated and acts as sandpaper. Laz
  8. I just got my first Subaru and I have a question regarding the A/C The compressor turns on and runs but it does not blow any cold air only normal outside temperature air in the wents. I can hear the coolant going trough the evaporator is that air bubles I'm hearing. If it was leaking wouldn't the A/C compressor not turn on? Laz
  9. Make sure your MAF is plugged in! I did some engine work on mine and when all was in I forgot to plug in the MAF and had the same idle problem. Laz
