  1. Also, car is a 90 Legacy LS FWD. I checked to see if the vent selector was shot and it's not. Could the temperature adjustment inside the control unit perhaps have "broken" and it's stuck in the hot position?
  2. Man, I feel bad for that engine. It obviously still had a ton of life in it.
  3. My fiancé borrowed my car and turned the heater on this morning. Now when I turned the ac this morning it still blows heat. The compressor still turns on and all the ac lines are Ice cold, but for some reason the vents belch out the furnace of hell from my vents. Wtf is going on?
  4. Ya it did flash ten times and I checked it and it was code 32. The vss sensor #1. Car is a 90 ls wagon fwd. Ive heard the vss is located in the actual cluster but have yet to locate it
  5. So basically what's happening is the car will be cruising just fine and will even shift into 4th once my speed is fast enough and cruise below 2500rpm's. However, after a few seconds, the car downshifts itself back into 3rd and the rpms shoot up to 3000. To maintain freeway speeds (65mph) the RPMS are pushing into the 4000's. My speedometer does "click" and wobble a little bit but is still very much accurate with my speed so I could see that as being a probable cause. Although I couldn't see the car shifting into 4th if that was the problem. I've read a few things from: the car being in limp mode, perhaps the cable adjustment is a little off, or the 4th gear is pretty much shot. Any insight would be GREATLY appreciated.
  6. awesome, that's good news because my cable was bad on both ends. I easily fished it through the fire wall so it obviously wasn't attached to the dash and the little plug into the trans also looks bad as it appears that the little "flat head looking piece" snapped off in the old transmission and it also fell out of the plug once it was removed from the tranny.
  7. So my biggest question here is: Could the cable being bad really mess up the transmission to the point of not shifting past 1st?
  8. Welp, I checked the trans code (both current and previous) and they both came back normal. So it's obviously the speedo cable. Now which part of the cable, I don't actually know, but I'm hoping that it's not the part that goes into the dash and is the part that plugs into the transmission. Now if it is only the cable, is it still a possibility that it's effecting the transmission? Or is that probably a no go since all the sensors are fine and the trans is just bad?
  9. Forever jealous of your justy. I can never find them
  10. Awesome. Thank you so much I appreciate the help tremendously! I'm glad to have finally found a forum with knowledgeable and helpful people!
  11. I'm 5"3 haha and last time I checked there was a decent amount especially with the d3 hype
  12. That's cool. What part of Rocklin? I live by fairway and Stanford ranch. But ya I've tried to get my girl into skyrim and to no avail. I like the justy because the idea of a 3 cyl 4x4 is really cool and unique.
  13. okay will do. My question is what are the chances the speedometer/odometer problem is related to the transmission problem? Or are they more than likely unrelated and the trans is just garbage?
  14. Ok so all the gauges now work with the exception of odometer and speedometer. Other people having the same problems have discussed the vss as the culprit as well. I've looked for sensor but the Haynes does a terrible job at describing its location for the fwd vehicle
