  1. I have a 1992 subaru loyale 4wd that I recently took to get smogged, and they told me that the check engine light was unresponsive and wouldn't turn on. I tried looking through book I have and couldn't spot where the wiring was. If that is even the problem. Looking beneath the steering wheel there are three male ends not plugged into anything. I think the problem may be one of these, but it does not seem to be anywhere they can plug into. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks, Joey
  2. thank you for your help. the wiring on the bottom side was knocked out. seat belts work again!
  3. I drive a 4x4 1992 subaru loyale wagon and I recently popped my drivers side rear tire. the tread split and dented up my wheel well pretty good. Now my auto seatbelts have stopped working. I have read on here before that there is a control unit or something somewhere back there. Was wanting to know where and how exactly to get to that unit. if thats even the problem. Thank you
  4. Thanks a bunch. looks like the new belt I put in sticks out about a mm or so. I'm going to try getting a new belt for it and see it that works for me.
  5. I have a 92 4wd loyale with the accessory belts pictured above. I recently replaced both belts. At first the squeal went away, but within a day or two the a/c belt started squealing every I would turn on the a/c. In the manual it says that sometimes the loosen up after first install so I re-tightened the belt up. I have since re-tightened it twice, and it still squeals really badly. I tightened it to 8mm (book says 7.5-8.5). Just wondering if it needs to be tightened more, less or if maybe I need to replace the idler pulley. Thanks for any help.
  6. Thanks for the info guys much appreciated. I had a feeling it might have to do with the cv. I'm off tomorrow and will take a look.
  7. I have a 92 loyale 4wd that has a low clicking sound coming from the front right wheel. The sound is really quiet and I almost more feel it. It only happens when I'm accelerating. I took a look all around there and didn't notice anything. The cv axle looks to be in good shape. The boot is still nicely intact. Any idea what this could be? Thanks for the help.
  8. Yeah it is the one that was listed recently on San Diego craigslist. He wanted 2500. ended up buying it for 1900.
  9. Hello everyone. I just bought myself a 1992 Subaru Loyale wagon. Hoping to put a 2" inch lift and put some good off roading tires on with some 14" pugs.
