  1. oh sorry, I didn't give the info on the car. It's a 2006 Subaru Legacy GT with just over 100,000 miles.
  2. My clutch went out in the middle of the intersection yesterday. We've owned the Subaru Legacy GT for a month or so and the clutch has seemed touchy but the previous owner said it's because it was just replaced with a new clutch. It hasn't made any grinding noises or seemed to have any problems until yesterday when I pushed it down and it felt heavy, then the car died. I tried to start it up again and it was smoking from the hood and the clutch wouldn't engage, felt very heavy to push down so we had to have it towed. I'm trying to contact the previous owner to see who put in the new clutch but meantime can anyone tell me what might be wrong and possibly how much it will run me to get it repaired?
