  1. I replaced my trans on my 95 legacy awd and the one i put in had the speed sensor removed from the wire harness I need to know where the 3 wires go in the harness. Its the speed sensor at the rear of the trans. Ive look every where and cant find anything that shows the brake down of that Wiring Harness.
  2. ya il just run it for now it works fine as long as i can go fowerd the reverse most part it works till the trans fluid heats up. think ill sell it and get the same 95-98 awd but in manual. thx
  3. so the reverse went out again and came back i was told by a few people that its prob a leak in a vacuum line but cant find anything on vacuum lines and shifting on the internet..... any input would be wonderful thx
  4. I added gear lube to the diferencial i notice it was low when i was working on it thats all. And when we drop it down from the jack in the time it took me to order a used trans $270 i pushed it out of the garage and for the hell of it tried the reverse and it work. it had been out for a few days and it never wouldn't work (cold or hot) and tried it im going to see if its still working to day. My father'in'la a Toyota diagnostic was helping me on it and was stump. like i said their was no slip before it quit or after it started working again. Could it be electrical? we check the connectors no corrosion all seemed well.
  5. I have a 95 legacy outback awd drove fine then half hour latter the revers just quit (automatic trans) . when shift into revers it was like being in neutral. All other gears work fine trans fluid was full tried holding brake and reving it up in revers to see if it was the pump got nothing. While checking everything added gear lube for the awd and 20 min later for the hell of it went and tried the reverse and it was working like their was never a problem. what could cause this i had thought that the clutch had gone but when it came back their was not even slipping.
  6. Im installing a NOCO battery isolator my 95 legacy trying to find out what wire i connect for the exciter wire. The exciter seems to be connected to the alternator out . can any one help me
  7. Thank you that helps a lot now need to hunt down some springs
  8. Thank you, that that explains it all now. My head was about to explode trying to find those parts. I cant wait never thought i would love having a four banger wagon. theirs just something about subaru.
  9. Trying to find KYB GR-2 for 97 outback from ebay but they are all for legacy outbacks i went to subarupartsforyou.com and for 97 outback and the struts on their say they are for the legacy outback too. so are the older legacy and outbacks struts the same thing. i would like to use new parts just having hard time finding any for 96, 97, 98 or 99 outback
  10. Thank you i finally understand everything hopefully will be doing it soon. Then paint it in bed liner throw some lights on it and will be good to go.
  11. dose anyone the part numbers for 97 outback struts and springs even the subaru web site dosnt show outback till 2000
  12. ya its a 95 legacy wagon (outback trim). will the outback struts and springs go right on or will i need to modify the mounts at all or have an alignment and for some reason part stores dont show that outbacks exist in 95-2000
  13. Ive gone through thread after thread about using outback or forester struts and springs and ended up with a big headache . Can any one tell me what i should go with outback or forester, what year i should use, and what mounts to use or anything else i need . This is for my 95 legacy outback awd wagon all help will be highly appreciated
