  1. Can anyone with a carfax acct look this one up 1GKFK16Z43J125831 Thanks
  2. Had the same problem with my 95 legacy lsi. Independent shop said $1k to fix, another said $600, researched it a little on usmb and had the transmission fluid changed. Well, it worked! 5 mos later and 4k miles and no issues. Try it first, might be a cheap alternative. Good luck.
  3. Hi Guys, 95 legacy lsi wagon, 156k, running very well, except it has been pulling to the left at lower speeds. Tires check out ok, pressure ok, no uneven wear. Do I need an alignment to straighten this out? If so, do I need anything special due to AWD on the vehicle? Thanks
  4. Hi Rich, I was in your same exact situation in May of 02. Nice 95 lsi wagon, 103k, very clean inside, a few small dents outside, ran like a charm and I bought it. Still going strong at 154k. Mine does not have pneumatic suspension, I had a 94 lsi that had it. I don't even know if that was an option for that year. Anyway, go for it, it is the most dependable sub I've owned. Now when I bought it, the used car dealer changed, timing belt, crank and oil seals and a few other maintenance (normal) items. All I did was put new tires on it last year. Good luck.
  5. Same thing on my 95 lsi, changed transmission fluid, sticking turning went away. Low cost alternative, see if it works
  6. Problem solved?? Went for the transmission flush yesterday on my lsi, presto, no more binding, car drives like new!! My only concern--- is this just a quick fix masking the real problem or is it for real? Time will tell.
  7. Hi guys, The 95 lsi wagon is in the shop for a wheel bearing job and the mechanic just called and said I need a new "transfer clutch". I have noticed the rear wheels binding when I turn at times. He said it is ok to drive but it should be replaced, approx $1,000.00. Does his estimate sound about right and should I have it done ASAP? Thanks,
  8. Hi guys, getting another Subaru, keeping our 95 lsi wagon with 147k, running well, but need another car. Asking for pros/cons looking at 01 V6 Outback with 37k miles vs an 02 basic 4 cylinder with only 14k miles, basically the same $$$. The V6 is tempting. Will the increase in power be that noticable. The only Subs I've driven have been the 95, 91 and 94 wagons (the kids have inherited the 91 and 94) great cars, but underpowered. Thanks for any input
