  1. Yes...I was given a Subaru OEM roof rack, that I plan to install on my '97 wagon that didn't come with a Roof Rack. After looking at the mounting hardware that came with the Roof Rack, it is clear I need to pull the head liner to install the backing plate brackets that go on the inside of the roof. Any advice?
  2. Any one out there ever installed a Subaru OEM Roof Rack on a ('97) Legacy Wagon ie: Advice on pulling headliner, etc...etc...Thank you!!!!!
  3. My 1992 drivers side power window stopped working again, 1/2 of way down. Like before, I pressed down sharply on the top edge of the window, and then it I heard the sound of the window snapping back into what ever it had popped out of. I was then able to power the window up/closed. But now the window will only power down 5-6"...then it makes the sound of a gear slipping (like a gear is slipping against a stipped out gear track???) 1). Any one know what I should be looking for or at, when I get into the door 2). Any one know what I will likely need to replace...? 3). Where will I find this/these parts be? (Ebay or wrecking yard or...?) 4). Any advice on how to get the door panel off..to get to this worn part...? THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cody
  4. Thanks Josh!!!! If I get hung up....I'll be back to you for some additional coaching Cody
  5. Do you have the cylinder or the cylinder and the key....? Any experience/advise on openening up the door to replace this lock...?
  6. I realize this is a very old posting...but if you are now reading this old posting, for a new/current broken Bolt/Pin problem: BAD NEWS: If you break this bolt...the bolt must come from Subaru, anything else is a waste of time.. GOOD NEWS: The bracket (at least on a 1992 & 1994 legacy wagon) is threaded on the top and bottom of this bracket (the bottom is where the broken off bolt thread is still lodged) Pull the bracket, turn it up end, and with your new Subaru supplied bolt in hand, reassamble.....G.Cody
  7. I need to do some repairs on two of our three Subaru Legacy Wagon's # 1. Our 92 Legacy drivers-side key cylinder turns 360 degrees, w/o engaging the lock cylinder...so I need to (A) buy a replacement lock cylinder...?...( have the replacement cylinder re-keyed to match ignition key. #2. Our 94 drivers-side, outside door handle is pulling out of the door's cut out for this handle, only seems to be attatched to the door at the top edge of this handle door cut-out. I'm assumiong for both repairs, I will need to pull the inside door panels to get to the lock cylinder and what ever has come loose on this outside door handle...? Q: What is the best/right way to take these door panels off...? Q: What is the best place to buy a replacement door lock cylinder...? THANK YOU !!!! Cody
