  1. I drive my 78 Brat almost every day. Love it! And it can go 75 on The highway too. Just takes a bit to get there.
  2. I just picked up a 91 XT6. It's a project. Runs well but, Needs a muffler bad! Anybody know where I can buy a direct bolt on OE replacement for it? I really need to get that taken care of. Thanks.
  3. Scrap guy around here would probably give no more than $100 for it.
  4. I actually have no idea if it is just the diff lock switch or not.
  5. I used to have a 88 XT. I loved it. Always wanted the power of the 2.7L. Got to be a big change over the 1.8L non turbo. Guy wants $1100 for it. I used to know these cars fairly well. Isn't it called the cybrid power steering pump?
  6. I've got a lead on a 91 XT6. I have a few questions about some issues it has. This is what is posted about it: Fun little car, runs ok. V6, 5 speed with all wheel drive, Has had better days. Some new parts, but needs work. No power steering, No air shocks, read diff is locked in the on position and, it needs new CV boots in the back. My question is: How hard is it to find the parts for this? I know the power steering pump and the air ride are always a problem. What would cause the rear diff to be stuck in the locked position. If it can be fixed easily I may consider making a offer. Thoughts? Thanks.
  7. I had the same problem on my Atk engine. Mine came with the one you got. I ended up making a coupler myself that would fit. I would have to go out and see how I did it to remember what exactly I did. That was four years ago. My fix worked. These two engines are early EA-71's too. Think they are before 79.
  8. Gen 1's are different. You will have a very difficult time trying to find front struts for a gen 1. Best luck is ebay. Or have to do some modding of gen 2 struts.
  9. But you have to have all the emissions stuff in place on your car here in California. Part of their "visual" inspection.
  10. Nope. It will not get through emissions here no matter what.
  11. If you are not wanting them let me know. I have been looking for a parts Brat for a while.
  12. When I did my outers 3 years ago I bought originals from Subaru for my 78 Brat. Nothing like original!
  13. http://www.ccrengines.com/mwe/ I had them do the axles on my 78 Brat about 3 years ago. Excellent quality and worth the money.
  14. I will probably go get it in a couple weeks when I have the extra cash.
  15. I have 3 of them. One is a Uniroyal and the other 2 are Generals. They are at least 5 years old. Been sitting with my other 20 Subaru wheels. So I think they may still be available.
  16. Should post this in the historical section. That's where the 80 Brat is covered here anyway. Might have a bit more luck
  17. A guy offered me this 82 wagon for $400. The engine is apart and it has been sitting for many years. He said he would throw in a extra engine with it. Thoughts on what something like this might actually be worth? It has rust on the rear hatch and a bent rear bumper and broken tail light too. I just think the price is a bit much. But, these cars are almost non-existent around my area anymore and I would like to have a EA-81 car again.
  18. How do you smog this with a Weber on it? There is no way in hell that is smog legal. I would love to go the Weber route. Only way I could see doing it would be to pull it off and put all the stock garbage back on every 2 years to smog it.
