  1. Thanks guys, I got an email from one of the wrecking yards (subaru/suzuki parts) to give them a call. Maybe they've got something for me. Luis
  2. Does anyone know of a wrecking yard that has a web site that specializes in Subaru parts? Specifically, a '99 Outback wagon. Or any online source for recycled or very hard to find parts. Thanks Luis
  3. Hello all, Has anyone had experience replacing the rolling electrical connection in the steering column? I've got a '99 Outback. The failure of this connector means the horn, cruise control and airbag are useless right now. First of all, does anyone know where I could get this part (besides the dealer)? How 'bout the difficulty of replacing it, has anyone done this? Thanks for any help, Luis
  4. Greetings everyone, This is my first post as I'm new to the Subaru owners' world. Recently got a '99 Silver Outback, with the standard options. I wanted to upgrade the stereo/cassette unit with a Subaru 6 CD in-dash changer that came off a 2002 or 2003 WRX. I notice that there are 2 large connectors on the back of the 6 CD unit and there is only one on the current stereo. I've searched the older posts and have read that the 2nd plug-in isn't necessary. What was it's purpose, then? As the "new" unit doesn't seem to work with just the one plug connected, I fear I may have been sold a bum radio, or perhaps there are some functions the 2nd plug provides. Well, look forward to the replies of experienced Subaru people. Thanks, Luis
