  1. It just opened about two weeks ago. They don't even have a full yard yet, but several Subaru to choose from. I'm going out this Saturday after work. Noon-ish. I'm after a set of front seats and maybe, if the temps over 30* and the winds under 30 mph some extra hubs to drill holes in.
  2. Welcome from Cheyenne. There is an '87 GL wagon, still mostly complete at the new pull your own parts yard "Cheyenne Auto & Metal" at 3001 S. Greeley Hwy. just go south on central till you're almost out of town. It donated its left headlight and marker light and working clock to my '89 the other day. Good luck and have fun at WYO Tech.
  3. I grew up and am back in WY and I've driven Subaru wagons, hatchbacks, and now a coupe, for years in Wyoming and and Colorado. I've gone camping at elevation, as well as driven pilot car, and, when I was younger, used them to deliver pizzas in numerous front range cities including Silverthorne, CO, with neighborhoods over 10,000 ft. They are not the quickest thing on the highway but they handle the altitude just fine. Just remember to wind them up for the hills.
  4. I don't know the interchange, but there is an '89 XT6 with all the glass, all most a complete car, at a pull your own parts yard in Cheyenne, WY. Their number is 307-634-5859, don't know if they will pull and ship on not.
  5. Hello all in USMB world, Happy to be a new member, Thanks. I've had many different models of Subaru over the years, none modified, but its been a while. My newest to me is an '89 GL 3dr D/R 5 Spd that I bought last Saturday. Even before buying it, but not before checking out some of ya'll's too cool modified Subaru', it was earmarked for a small lift and not so small tires. The Info here is inspiring! So far, I think a 2" strut lift, 6 lug conversion, 2.2 swap, I want it to go anywhere my Suburban will go and beyond while still being a good daily driver. I love reading about and seeing what others have done. Amazing! There is probably a thread I haven't found on it yet but I found this Impreza and it's soon to be crushed. http://fortcollins.craigslist.org/pts/3564522993.html I'm wondering if the Struts out of this 97 Impreza would be a good change or not for my GL and if maybe the seats or anything else would be good to grab. Hate to see good parts get crushed. I am very interested in hearing ideas from other more experienced modifiers. Many of you have already been very helpful.
