  1. every time i start my 90 subaru loyale it pops the gasket on my oil filter and spews my oil all over the ground. and i watch the pressure rise on the needle it only takes about 10 secs till it reaches the top. the driver side cam was a little hard to turn when i replaced the timing belts. and yes i did it correctly (the second time after watching miles fox's video. ) i dont know what happened please help!
  2. it started very odd sequance of things going wrong first my battery was dead got a new battery and would crank but wouldn't start still and took a look under the good and noticed my driver side timing belt had shredded almost fillet it's self the oddest thing I've ever seen it do. I just changed the belts 4 months ago pretty much brand new changed the belts did the right sequence timing was fine. started it and it bogged wouldn't do go past 1000 rpms no matter how much I pushed the gas nothing and instantly after it started the oil pressure gauge jumped all the way to the top. then it erupted oil out of the first oil filter. and I've been stumped since. and yes I use fram micro guard but I've always used those and that shouldn't make my oil pressure rocket up like that. here's a pic of my oprv on the oil pump. does it look right idk what I'm looking for
  3. sorry I don't know why an avenue or a carrier is. and yep new filter and I use mobile one synthetic 10-30
  4. yep I watch the gauge climb then it's fine cause it popped the gasket and my brand new oil is all over the ground
  5. my oil pressure get so high that it pops the gasket on my oil filter
  6. I have a 90 subaru loyale that I believe has a faulty oil pressure reliefe valve. I know of the one on the oil pump. I believe there are 2 more can someone tell or show me where these are and also what am I looking for when I pull them put the one in the oil pump has a spring and the I'll call it a hallow bolt that holds it. i don't know what a faulty one would look like.
  7. my 90 ea82 keeps having to much oil pressure and pops the seal on the oil filter spilling all the oil out of it. what's causing this ? 90 loyale stock ea82 146xxx rebuilt oil pump. with new oil filter
  8. i timed it again and doubled checked it all. still has no power too so idk if it is the sending unit
  9. figured out the geiser of oil was coming from the oil filter not the dip stick. changed the filter and new oil still the oil pressure rockets to 85 when I start the car any ideas?
  10. yeah when I did it originally 4 months ago I replaced all those yeah I lost the belt covers when the water pump went
  11. yeah I bought the kit with the pulley and tensioners. when I took just the belt it they gave me just a belt obliviously and it seemed Better
  12. yeah I bought the kit with the pulley and tensioners. when I took just the belt it they gave me just a belt obliviously and it seemed Better
  13. yeah that's how I did it the first time I replaced them Miles and drove for 4 months just fine. so I know I did the sequence correctly even watched ur video again to be sure. I'll check wires tomorrow. also the driver can was super hard to turn more than when I originally had done the job even with the pin tool it did not want to turn easily unlike the passenger can
  14. never messed with the pressure sender and yep did the 3 hash's not the numbers put the driver side on first then rotated crank 360 and lined up the passenger.
  15. so about 4 months ago I changed the timing belt on my ea82. it was my first time doing so on this car and after failing and haveing a face palm moment. I watched miles fox's videos and did it right. now about 2 weeks ago I go to start my car before work and nada battery's dead. get a new battery after work and try again it acted like is broke a timing belt again so I look, and the damn thing had seperated so I go get a it replaced at napa they say they had never seen that before. put the new one on and button everything up and start it and it ran like an off balance washing machine. and the oil pressure shot to the top of the gauge. what do I do ? what's wrong?
