  1. Hi I'm wondering what size cherry bomb I should get for my 2005 Baja. I was thinking it would be maybe 2.25" inlet diameter? It's the EJ255 model but I don't really have the time or parts to go and take the muffler off right now being that I'm active duty military. Thanks for the help!
  2. Okay I managed to start my car with the weber on a couple of times but it didn't run very smoothly. Now when I start it it just shoots vapor out of the carburator when it tries to turn over. What do I need to do?
  3. Ok i just figured out that those were the ASV system. I'm just gonna do the quarter trick with them. I'll keep posting if i come upon more problems. Thanks for all the help guys!
  4. I'm wondering what do i do with these hoses The first one i marked sucks in air. Do these need to be hooked up to something? I don't think they're PCV hoses because they don't come from the valve covers. I'm kinda new to mechanics so i get lost a lot. EDIT here's more pictures. Those hoses connect to these things on both sides of the car which are connected to metal pipes on them that go down near the exhaust manifold. Are these to be plugged?
  5. Okay thanks for all the replys. I got the throttle figured out now. One question I still have is about vacuum hoses. I know most of them i need to plug up but Which ones do I need to keep on. Also I have two big vacuum hose that comes out of the top of the valve covers. Would I just plug those ones with some putty?
  6. Yes my weber came with the conversion kit but it did not come with any cable brackets so would the one for the hitachi work or would i have to modify it?
  7. I just got a weber 32/36 electric choke for an 82 Brat. I don't have a stock throttle cable. I've seen that people make their own brackets to mount the cable but i'm not very good with welding so i can't really think of how to make that bracket so i'd like to see some examples and also what exactly is the bracket doing. And also do i need to do any adjustments to the throttle cable (trimming the tube down) or will it be fine just as it is. I've heard a lot of people having problems with binding and i wanna make sure i do this right.
  8. Just curious I was just looking around on rock auto. Never heard of the company and wondered if people used it. I'm getting a weber for mine anyways.
  9. I was jumblin around the internet and came across this 2bbl carb. It's made by autoline and i suppose It fits the ea81. Anyone know anything about this brand or got one on their car? https://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=1125066&cc=1267679
  10. I usually run without the fan but next time I go out ill see if that helps
  11. Okay I got a 1982 4wd best ea81 and it's having some temperature problems and i suspect it's the thermostat. Whenever I drive offroad on bumpy terrain my car seems to get really hot. This is happening mostly when I'm not on the gas but cruising slowly. But the thing that confuses me is right after I get out of the bumpy offroad back onto flat roads to highway speeds the car slowly cools back to normal. Would this be a thermostat problem?

  13. Thanks naru but does anyone think that this may be a transfer case problem?
  14. Hey guys. I'm just starting with car mechanical things and i have a problem with my 82 brat. When the car is in 2wd it feels like it doesnt go into gear and when i put it in 4 it'll go in gear but only the rear tires will spin. I'm not really sure what i have to do so your advice would really help.
