  1. Is it true that the ej22t passenger side, rear cam support/carrier has oil feed/return and coolant return lines for the turbo?
  2. Cant believe no one on this forum can answer this question. Time for a forum jump!
  3. No not the side headlight assembly. The little side marker lights that are towards the rear of the front fender, closer to the front of the front doors. Looks like I have to get at the rear of it through the inner fender.
  4. Ok how the heck does the side marker lens come out? The ones on the front fenders? The car is a 97 Impreza obs. Do I have to remove the front wheel plastic splash guard? Removal procedure is not in my manual and I cannot find it online.
  5. I needed a new fuel pump so I got a Walbro 255 lph. Im running some mods and soon some deltas. Do I need an adjustable fuel press regulator to realize the better fuel pump? I will be adding some forced induction in the future. 97 OBS
  6. Im running a 97 2.5 Legacy ECU in my 97 OBS 2.2. I also get a check engine light, but I thought it was from the 2.5 having an EGR and the 2.2 manual does not. It runs great though, no problems. Have had it installed for close to a year.
  7. Here is a link to all the info you will need to find a compatible transmission. https://www.dropbox.com/s/1ia75cro4n1deou/TransmissionIDChart_Public.pdf This helped me when I needed a new 5sp in my 97 OBS. Good luck!
  8. 100 pounds? Wow, I thought it might be a little more than that. Well guess I should get an owners manual! Thanks for the answer though!
  9. Anyone know what the stock roof rack weight limit is for a 97 OBS? I want to get a Thule case and dont want to go over the weight limit.
  10. Well finally got to the bottom of the problem with no hi-beams. After going through everything with a volt meter, turns out that the Painless Performance harness had a bad connection inside one of the relay plugs. Had to pull it apart, but when I did it was no attached and the wire was clamped down so tight that is just cut right right through it. Im gonna call them back tomorrow!
  11. As stated in the first post, my engine is a 97 2.2 N/A. I got it figured out though. The manual must be a misprint. Pretty positive the bore is 96.9.
  12. Ok so got the Painless Performance harness installed on the 97 OBS. Not so painless after all!! First the harness plug wouldnt connect into my headlight pug. Had to cut the top half off to make it fit. Second i couldnt unplug the headlight connectors after connecting to the bulbs. IDK what the hell kind of super plug Painless uses but once you put it on good luck taking it back off!! Ripped the back completely off one bulb trying to unplug it. Chewed up both new plugs pretty good trying to pry them off with a screwdriver. Third!!!! When I did the first test both hi and low beams worked. Cut the power and ground to length and reconnected but now only low beams. Maybe the relay? IDK. The lows are brighter than before, but that doesnt really help without hi beams. Any ideas out there?
  13. It is the Subaru Impreza 97-98 Manual. It doesnt seem correct. Maybe a misprint?
  14. I have the online manuals for the Impreza and in the specifications section it lists the 2.2 NA engine as having 92mm bore, but the wiki EJ engine page lists it as a 96.9 bore. So what is it exactly? MY engine I have is a 97.
