I looked it up online to find info on a 84 GL wagon
  • Biography
I bought my first Subaru a 1986 gl-10 turbo from my cousin for $250. Since then I have purchased 7 Subies now and currently own a 2018 Crosstrek that I love but wish had more power.

  1. I am sorry if this is not the right place to put this thread, but I have a few exterior and interior parts from my GLs. I no longer have my GLs and would love for these parts to go to a Subie enthusiast. I am just looking to give them away as I will not have storage for them soon. If there is a better place to list these I would love to know. These are some of the things I am trying to get rid of. - full doors including windows and hatch - 3 speed AT - 5 speed MT with Hi/low - exterior stock decals - set of powder coated steel rims - interior parts such as a dash and nobs and things. Please let me know if there is anything you are interested in. I want them to be used not dumped. If you need pictures I can attach or send.
  2. I just bought a 1984 GL Wagon. It's everything that I have been looking for but it's an automatic. I really wanted to put a 5 speed manual with push button 4wd. Is that possible to do without having a bunch of conversions? I am just wanting advice so I can start trying to set it up. Thank you so much.
  3. I am still interested in the EA/EJ swap. I just purchased an 81 wagon with a Weber carburetor. While it does provide more power I am still interested in the swap. I appreciate the feedback and realize that this will be a large investment. To help fund the project I'm looking at selling both my 84 wagon and my 86 sedan. I want to find good homes for them. Either way I don't have the time or finances to keep all three subies.
  4. I just bought a 1984 Subaru GL wagon and wanted to swap the engine for more power. It has an EA81 currently and I wanted to put an EJ22 into it. I'm new to engine swaps and wonder if it's worth the time and what all I will need to change to make the conversion. Any thoughts would be very helpful.
