  1. Thanks for all the replies. My muffler is good shape but my concern is it being so old that the catalytic converter might be clogged or not working at full capacity.
  2. Hello I have a 93 Impreza wagon and I want to replace the muffler system. what is a good replacement?
  3. Ok I took the fuse out. Since I got the car with the duty c failing I think I should probably change the clutches as well. I found a coupke guides but im having a hard time finding the parts for the 93s. Does anyone know what years are compatible
  4. Ok I removed the rear half of the drive shaft and installed the fwd fuse. Was this the correct part? http://m.ebay.com/it...7765?nav=SEARCH Does anyone have the part number?
  5. I measured the tires and they are same. You guys are great! I was about give up and get rid of it but I will change the duty c. Does anyone have part numbet or know where to get it? The dealer had 7 different solenoids. I also found this on eBay http://m.ebay.com/itm/251480197765?nav=SEARCH Right part? Also you recommend I drop and clean the pan? To add more detail to the picture.the front of the transmission does leak a little, the binding is worse when taking right turns and it shudders when going into gear. Now do you believe it still worth working on this transmission? Should I look into replacing the torque converter? Or clutch?
  6. Ok did 3 drain and fills.driving a bit each time.going through all gears when draining and on the last fill I put a bottle of lucas in. Now the torque bind is much better. It still happens when I turn right.I have it in fwd and it doesnt help. Im thinking of driving for a week or so then doing another drain and fill. I will change the differential fluids this weekend.80w90 in both the front and rear? If it still binds in fwd does that mean something else is wrong besides the duty c? I only ask because im considering putting a transmission in but I am unsure since the engine had 300k.
  7. Thank you rooster and miles. I did put ut through the gears the first drain but not the second drain since I just wanted to lower the level.I will re do the change after work and keep you guys posted
  8. Im thinking when I reused that fluid it probably wasnt all clean and its messing things up.hopefully I can get it all out.thank you texan. Ill wait for GGs response.also sorry I actually used super tech fluid
  9. Yes. I checked it right. It started with the binding after I drained it and reused the fluid that had I just put in. I was thinking drain and fill with new fluid.
  10. It did state it was suitable for mercon and dextron 3'". I used that becausr I believe that is what the previous owner used
  11. Sorry I was posting on my phone and it posted twice. It was overfilled by a quart.no fluid blew out it just had bubbles in the fluid.it's a 93 impreza awd auto with 300k now.I changed the fluid because I just got the car and thought ut would help.yes it flashes the code for the duty c But it has been since I got it.the first fluid I drained was very black and smelt bad.The fluid I reused was in between.the whole time it was overfilled it had no torque bind but after I drained and refilled it its been very bad. No the fwd doesnt help.I was going to try refilling with new fluid
  12. Recently changed my tranmission fluid but I put too much in. I drove for 100 or so miles then I saw it was too high.I drained and filled it with the same fluid now it has torque bind. How badly did I screw up my transmission?
