  1. outback sport gave P0182 code I was unable to reset it. took it to the dealer today, they had it all day and finally told me they were unable to reset the code and that they had never seen this before. They needed to wait until the morning to call tech support before they started ripping out the wiring harness????? any ideas? Thanks Jon
  2. My wife has a 2006 Outback sport with 65K miles we have owned it from new. I few weeks back I started to see oil drops on the driveway. Did some research and took a look underneath. Looks like drivers side head gasket is leaking. Took it into the dealer for their opinion. Told them it was leaking oil, couple of hours later they called saying the oil leak was from the drain plug or maybe the oil pan, they would need to do an oil change.......anyway the wife said OK. Went in to pick it up a few hous later, they told the wife that the drain plug was leaking beacuse a non Subaru gasket was used ( I changed the oil and used a new Subaru gasket and filter a couple of weeks back). They were about to get the car for us when I asked "it's not the head gasket leaking then?" the tech replied " oh yeah the head gsakets leaking alright but it's just a seep don't worry about it" I asked " we are about to go on a 2K mile round trip for our grandsons 3rd birthday will it be OK?" answer "sure just get it checked at next oil change in 4K miles" This car has 65K miles, and has a head gasket leak, are they just putting it off to get more miles so there is less chance they will not have to pay out? Is it really OK to drive a 2K roadtrip like this. Any advice would be appriciated! Thanks! Jon.
