  1. Hello, Have a 2015 Outback. 2.5i Premium. No Navigation System Have subscribed to XM, and added their Travel-Link option. Everything works fine, except for Travel-Link not showing stock prices. Rep at XM says some radios cannot receive it (stock prices via their Travel-Link). Has no idea why, or even if really so Anyone know why this might be ? All other Travel-Link items seem to work just fine. Just seeing the stock prices via XM's Travel-Link is the problem; a N/A shows up when trying to access it. Thanks, Bob
  2. Hello, Live in new England, outside of Boston. Have usually a fair amount of snow here, but nothing like northern Maine or Minn. Son just bought a new 2015 Outback Premium i. Was bvry surprised to see that they came with Bridgestone Dueler HP Sport A/S tires. Has Subaru been using this tire as OEM in New England for "a while" now ? All over, or just New England ? Frankly know nothing about this tire, but am concerned. Is this tire a "decent" snow tire ? Is it considered a true All-Weather tire ? Am very concerned how good it is in snow, as the car is for my son and daughter in law. Any thoughts or opinions on the tire in snow conditions and ice would be most appreciated. Thanks, Bob
  3. Hello, First time poster. Will be receiving a new 2015 Outback shortly. I (think) I understand X-Mode, and the fact also that when selected it is apparently operable only under about 18 mph. Certainly seems to do a lot of very desireable things. Should be quite helpful on icy or snow covered roads, and/or going down hills even if dry. But, I can't get a good handle on when you would use X-Mode vs. when you would use the normal "Low Gear" via the selector. Why and when would one ever use low gear when X-Mode is available ? So, if someone could explain for me when to use each, and when not to (perhaps even more important), would be most appreciative. Thank you, Bob
  4. Hello, Was wondering if anyone has any idea of the percentage statistics regarding how many 2014 Outback's (and/or Foresters) are sold with the Eyesight System, compared to how many without ? Just how popular is this option ? Thanks, Bob
  5. Hello, Son is thinking of getting a 2015 Outback, and we are all having a big debate whether it is a good idea, or not, to get it with the Eyesight System. Cost is probably not a factor, but just out of curiosity, how much extra will it be for the 2015 ? Anyway, would be most appreciative for those of you that have a 2014 Outback or Forester with this system, what you overall impressions are of it ? e.g., our biggest concern, does it "take over" too much of the Driver's function ? Worth having ? pros and cons, caveats, etc. What you like about it, and DON'T like about it Much thanks; appreciaste your time and help with this, Bob
  6. Hi, Thanks for reply. Appreciate the info. Nope, I was referring to the cars' "Regular Heater". Have heard that they are very poor, but hard to believe that it is so seeing all the cars they sell in the cold climates. How is yours ? Anything else on them you've heard about ? Regards, Bob
  7. Hello, Live outside of Boston. Not quite Minn. weather and temperatures here in the winter, but still gets quite cold. Have heard conflicting opinions on this. Would sure like to get some expert opinions on; as well as from users in cold areas. How are the heaters in the 2014, and presumably the 2015, in the Outback's ? Good, barely marginal, or...? Any thoughts on this would be most appreciated. Thanks, Bob
