  1. thanks for all the help guys. i will definitely look into it!
  2. For the last 6 months I have been trying to get this vehicle running i have tried everything and running out of ideas.... and money. The vehicle is a 5 speed manual 1990 Subaru Loyale with an ej22 swapped into it out of a 5 speed manual 1992 Subaru Legacy. 4 out of 5 days of the week it drives normally but runs rich (I get about 16 mpg), sometimes it will surge idle/stall(also did this in the legacy), throttle wont responds unless pumped, will sometimes high idle like its cold even if it isn’t, Will have extreme hesitation/sputtering. I have replaced; Throttle position sensor Oxygen sensor Coolant temp sensor Spark plugs and wires-all spark plugs are dark black but dry. I just checked them today. Coil pack Cleaned idle air control valve Had fuel injectors rebuilt New alternator New timing belt and water pump New intake manifold gaskets Valve cover gaskets Fuel filter Swapped out computer for a different one Checked for vacuum leaks couldn’t find any Had electrical expert/ Subaru mechanic check that all the electrical was functioning properly Checked compression- all 4 cylinders were at 180 PSI- also checked today Cleaned the MAF sensor The exhaust sometimes is black sometimes is blue but is almost always white, even when warm. The catalytic converter has been gutted out Check engine light codes read 31 and 33 which is throttle position sensor and vehicle speed sensor. When I put in the new throttle position sensor today it ran much worse than usual to the point of not being able to drive. - Any help would be great
  3. I can cut and weld, Is their a picture i could look at... maybe a write up?
  4. So I just Lifted my loyale 2 inches everything went well except now when I accelerate my 4wd light on the dash turns on., when i put the clutch/ take my foot off the gas in turns back off. is their a way to fix this.. I assume i would have to extend the dual range shifter some how?
  5. well I guess i will go look for some 14s then Thanks
  6. I currently have zovak hpw401s and they are 185/70/r13 on my Loyale. I want to get some general grabber AT2s which are 27 x 8.5R14. my wheels measure 14 inches across. I have seen other people with thus same wheel/ tire combination i am just not sure if my wheels are the same size. Thanks
  7. Looking for someone who knows the ej22 swap into the loyale. especially the wiring part I have been having some... a lot of trouble getting the car to run well. it does run but very rough, has very little power and it gets about 7 miles to the gallon. the check engine light is not wired up correctly, so i cant get any codes, to tell me what the problem is. if any of you do trouble shooting like this, please let me know,
  8. I forgot to mention that i got only about 6 miles per gallon on the last fill up
  9. unless.......the power I am experiencing is what the ej is supposed to put out although it seems very sluggish
  10. here is a video i made, it may make it easier to tell. I am giving it full throttle when i was accelerating at 1:30 I accelerate in second gear at 15 mph https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZGAfQquFEXY
  11. OK this is where I am at right now. I replaced the knock sensor and had the fuel injectors rebuilt, although their is still a lack of power.its indeed most likely the timing belt From looking at it, the timing belt doesn't seem off. here are some pictures of the timing marks, They all seem to line up
