  1. I've had some clunking heard from the front end recently - I immediately thought ball joints but they look good. The sway bar links look awful though. I can't seem to find replacements anywhere though. Do you guys have any ideas on where to source these? Cheers!
  2. My 89 Turbo Wagon and I've been experiencing some jumpy idle at start, and then the check engine light has come on. The light dissappears after the car is shut off. I checked and it's a Code 21. So I bought a coolant temp sensor and am wondering if anyone has any experience installing one of these. Thanks y'all!
  3. You guys responded to a post of mine about installing a 95 Legacy starter in my 89 GL Turbo (AT). I installed it, and it would not engage the flywheel. I then got the idea to install it with two very thin washers with the thought that it my give the starter "more room" to "catch" the flywheel. This worked, or so it seemed. Tonight after dinner it took about 20 attempts to get the car past a single click. And once back home, it started immediately, but then took 5-10 attempts sometimes to get the car started. Does this confirm some suspicions that the flywheel may be the issue! What would your next step be? Thanks for your thoughts!
  4. Your reassurance was super helpful - starter in and happy. Word to the wise, though: the new starter would not reliably go past single click. After some deep head scratching, I reinstalled it with some very thin washers underneath at the bolts and it starts like a dream. I shouldn't have any problems with this, me hopes.
  5. Thanks so much for the response - if I'm seeing this correctly, I have to bolts to deal with; one underneath and one on top. The one on top is bolted through the entirety of something (engine block?). Is it an issue to take this 6"+ bolt out? Thanks again!
  6. Just like it says, I've bought a Denso starter for a 95 legacy (part # 280-0301) because I was told it would fit. Without much (any) real experience with honest work, can anyone help me with the process of removing and replacing with this part?
