  1. Would anyone know how to bypass the governor gear on a 3AT?? Mine keeps apple coring the ones i put in, i dont want to replace the transmission, i just want not to have to worry about the governor gear anymore.
  2. I have an original turbo brat and I want to keep it all original, the automatic transmission that's in it keeps stripping out the governor gear, the gear lasts for about 1,000 miles and then strips. I have a auto trans from a ea82. I had in my leone. I was hoping it was just a direct swap.
  3. Can I swap an automatic trans from an ea82 to a ea81. Are they the same
  4. I did all the same things as you . I replaced all the mounts, noise was still there. I tried everything . I didn't want to believe it was the bearings. After replacing a lot of unnecessary things. I just went for the thing I knew it was. I listened to both of your videos. I am 90% sure it's your bearings. If you can listen to your motor while it's running see if the knocking is coming from the bottom of the motor, lay down and focus on the oil pan. I'm pretty sure your going to see that the noise will be generating from there. I have a 1983 brat . And a 1985 Leone both are turbo motors, same as the one you have in your car .look up on YouTube " what does a spun bearing sound like " you will hear your noise
  5. I have a 1985 Leone ea82 turbo. Last week I had that same noise start in my car. I pulled the motor and replaced the bearings on the crank. Noise is gone. It's a spun bearing. My guess.
  6. Would anyone have a harness for a knock sensor? My car is a 1985 GL ( leone ) EA82T 1.8. It's the 2 pin connector . I really need one bad. Please someone help me.
  7. I rebuilt a ea82t and I replaced all the vacuum lines and there are some small restrictors in some of the lines. I can't remember where they go. It would be a big help if someone knew where they went. The car is a 1985 Leone GL ea82t FI. I rebuilt the motor after a blown head gasket. I put an intercooler, oil cooler, a mishimoto 2 row aluminum radiator, a trans fluid cooler, deleted the belt driven fan for 2 Electric fans. New Pistons +.020 over, new gen 3 heads. Much more was done but my problem is the car runs great except when I get on the gas the car bogs down. I have a vacuum problem and I can only think about those restrictors in the vacuum lines. If anyone has something else I should check, any input would be greatly appreciated . I can't figure out how to post pics here but I have photobucket. My 1983 brat is what this motor is for http://s280.photobucket.com/user/lovemyson1/library/brat
  8. Here is my motor http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk165/lovemyson1/Mobile%20Uploads/2015-10/039EE4A0-7F4D-43CA-BF91-D0C0AE3DF59C_zpsdouf9vsb.jpg
  9. I can't figure out how to just post a pic, but here is a link to photobucket. This thing is on the wiring harness for the injectors. Can someone tell me what it is. It's off of a ea82 turbo 1.8 http://s280.photobucket.com/user/lovemyson1/media/Mobile%20Uploads/2015-10/1205F4C5-9521-436D-A6E4-90727F50B23A_zps0vna7kkf.jpg.html
  10. Does anyone know where I can get ea82 1.8 turbo pistons??
  11. That's nuts, I don't want to put bolts back in after all the work I just did,
  12. Does anyone know where to get head studs to replace the head bolts in a ea82t
  13. Disty is pointing toward firewall, I kept thinking I was doing the belt wrong, I took the left valve cover off to make sure I was on the compression stroke, timing light firing on 8 degrees BTDC, all along it was the injectors not getting power , I'm at a loss for what to check next
