  1. Fixed the brakes in my 89. pass. side shoes were hanging up and wore down to nothing and parts were just hanging out in the drum. got everything cleaned up and working right. And washed it. Fired up my 91 loyale and took it on a trip to the parts store. hadn"t been started for 3 months< and fired right up on the first crank.
  2. I was out there in June and didnt have any real big issues runing 13's at about 10- 12 psi. alot of second and third gear low and a heavy nright foot.
  3. i got a new battery for my 89 GL. Than used the 89 to snatch my buddys Bronco 2 out of a mud hole.
  4. Mounted up a set of practically new yokohamas on my 89. Man, that car rides and drives a whole lot nicer than it did with 4 mismatched tires! Fired up my old 91 and ran it around the nieghborhood. First time being fired up in around 3 months.
  5. in my 89 I broke a front axle at uwharrie, replaced both front axles, had to cut my exhauts out from under the car when it broke off at the flange on the way out to the Outer Banks, put 2 new tires on the rear and some good tires on the front, washed it, and waxed it. Took it out on the beaches down at the Outer Banks. did about 1000 miles in 3 days with no problems other than the exhaust breaking.
  6. Broke a front axle in my 89 at Uwharrie a couple of weeks ago. Replaced both front axles, put 2 new tires on the rear and some good tires on the front, washed it(first time since owning the car), waxed it, drove it on down to the Outer Banks and half way there the exhaust let loose and broke at the flange right after the cat, so i cut the pipe in half with a hacksaw in a parking lot. Went riding the beaches and and got asked dozens of times if it was a 4wd.
  7. I got rid of the leaking radiator that was in my 89 and put in one that I had around here. Seems to be ok. Also put some Legacy front seats into the 89 and finally got around to cleaning up the back seat. Found some funky tire wear going on in the front end, but I think its parcially because the struts and shocks are totaly shot. My 91 decided it didn't need an exhaust stud on the pass. side this afternoon and is laying on the road sonewhere, and the nut on that same side was just hanging on by a thread when I got home tonight. Now my quiet car is louder than my loud car.
  8. Get the motor mounts up and out of the crossmember first, then pull the motor forward. I usually put a jask under the tranny to got it up about man inch or so, then lift the motor up with the hoist until the mounts are clear of the crossmember, then seperate it from the bellhousing.
  9. Yep thats what it is. Yanked it back apart, and you can see where the gasket had deteriorated.
  10. I just sealed up everything but didn't replace the headgaskets or intake gaskets. It definatly is leaking where the head and block meet up. The more I look at it and from what i have found here it sounds like the headgaskets.
  11. Just got done putting in a resealed EA82 in my 89 wagon , crank it up and its just pissing oil out of the driverside between the head and the block up toward the front of the motor. everything else is dry. I am about sure that the head gasket is bad. Am I on the right track?
  12. A piece of black tape makes that check engine light go away
  13. I replaced the 4wd button on my shifter with a toggle swith mounted on the dash. Also replaced my leaky throttle body gasket on my Loyale.
  14. Got a 91 Loyale spfi and its leaking anti freeze at the base of the throttle body between the throttle body and the intake manifold. I went to the dealer and they weren't able to come up with anything. Anyone have a part number for this gasket, or do I need to make one?
  15. Don't care how good of a Hi Lift jack your using, that is an accident waiting to happen.
  16. Helped a buddy of mine out a couple weeks ago do the brakes on a BroncoII he recently picked up. It had a blown wheel cylinder in the rear which the previous owner fixed be pinching off the rear brake lines.
  17. I replaced the burned out haeter blower moter in my 91 and flushed out the power steering on my 89.
  18. Put a new all metal radiator in my 91. Also got my brakelight problem figured out in my 89.
  19. Picked up an 89 GL Wagon yesterday, and ordered a new radiator for my 91 Loyale. And I still havn't done anything to my 92 Legacy with a bad tranny.
  20. I replaced my old rusted out muffler for a almost new junkyard muffler on my Loyale. And I fired up my Legacy after setting for 2 months. I never knew an EJ22 was that loud with no pipes on it. Started first try. Just need to get around to fixing it and getting it on the road.
